                   the  statement  gives  her  pause,  eyebrows  scrunching  together  in  deep  thought.  her  entire  life  had  been  devoted  to  the  helping  of  others,  following  the  path  of  light  to  ensure  that  all  signs  of  sickness  were  depleted  with  nothing  but  sunshine  and  good  health  in  it’s  wake.  her  job  was  to  heal,  to  look  after  those  who  could  not  look  after  themselves.  she  could  not  be  biased  in  her  line  of  work.  still,  she  didn’t  think  life  could  be  so  black  and  white.  “  perhaps,  but  from  where  i’m  standing,  your  life  doesn’t  seem  so  dark.  yes,  you  have  had  hardships  and  sorrow,  but  you  came  out  on  the  other  side  with  peace  ---  something  not  everyone  gets.  you  are  proof  that  there  is  light  at  the  end  of  a  hard  path.  i  believe  everyone  deserves  a  chance  to  have  light  and  warmth,  as  you  put  it,  but  it  is  our  actions  that  dictate  how  we  achieve  such  a  thing.  it  will  never  be  the  same  for  everyone,  but  we  can  only  strive  for  goodness.  for  the  light,  for  the  things  that  give  us  hope.  no  one  can  ever  truly  be  dark,  nor  can  anyone  ever  truly  be  light.  there’s  a  balance  for  a  reason,  but  i  don’t  think  it  works  in  the  way  you  think  it  does.  ”
