After weeks of sneaking around with poor excuses, the day had finally come when the knight would be able to show what she'd been putting so much time and effort toward. While rather simple in presentation, the thought and time that went into making the carefully crafted paper mache heart colored in various pinks and blues made her certain that it wouldn't go unnoticed by her lover. The most important thing, however, was the piece of paper in Eula's other hand that she'd begin to read off of after handing the heart off to Baobhan.
"Because of you my mind has shed its winter
And taken you as the season of the heart,
Because of you no dreams can ever splinter
To fragments, you are the magic that bonds each part.
To my lovely Baobhan Sith, though I cannot rip my heart from my chest for obvious reasons...
Let this paper heart symbolize how I belong to you entirely."
With that last line, she sets the paper aside and smiles before saying, "...That is to say, Happy Valentine's Day."
● Eula's attempts at hiding whatever she was doing had been poor enough. Baobhan wasn't so unobservant that she couldn't notice a change of behaviour in her own girlfriend, even though she didn't understand what she had been doing. She had tried to do a little snooping, but Eula was too careful. "...Ah!?" She froze in place when the knight began to recite a poem, completely taking her off guard.
To think words like those could move a once frostbitten heart. Words that didn't come from a place of manipulation, but from a place of warmth that wanted to caress a worn soul. The Servant's cheeks burned red as her fingers clenched the brim of her skirt. Her eyes would flicker to the heart that she had been gifted, clearly crafted meticulously. "You..."
In the past, this reaction would lead to her lambasting Eula with some sort of doublespeak as she hid her true feelings. But not in this instance. Her expression softened and she moved forward, not only wrapping an arm around the knight's back but using her other hand to caress the back of her head as she delivered a passionate kiss for a moment, raising a knee between Eula's legs. She showed a more bashful side when she stepped back.
"There was once a time when I never believed anyone would ever treat me kindly again. I wouldn't deserve it. I probably still don't. But you've proven me wrong. I-I love you." The heart was hugged to her chest with her free hand. But she reached for a large gift bag she had stashed on the couch to hand it to the knight. "Happy Valentine's Day!"
Inside was a bottle of wine. One she probably would have recognize. "You can find delicacies from other worlds in the Star Trail. That's... dandelion wine, right? From Mondstadt? I wanted to get you something familiar, so I bought about twelve bottles altogether. A simple task for me, if I do say so myself! Maybe we could drink some tonight, and... you know...?" She had to toss a little of her usual attitude in there.
"But there's more, too. Eula Lawrence... I've told you that I am a Servant, and what it means to have a Master." A hand was held out towards her girlfriend. "Would you be my Master as well as my partner?"
