I went on vacation to New Jersey to see family, and we spent one day in New York City. We visited the MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art) and I was shocked to see a painting called “The Song of Love”!

It might not have anything to do with your fanfiction, but it still made me happy to see a painting with your title! 

Real talk, Clara Oswald led me to start thinking I could be bi. I was in awe of her beauty and there was no straight explanation for that.

9. How do you choose a POV for a story?

That’s an interesting question, hm. I almost always write in third person. Dear Diary is an exception to the rule.

If I’m writing a longer story, I’ll generally switch between characters’ perspectives. Because I think that’s fun! And I like trying to tell a balanced story. But if I’m writing a shorter story, I think my writing is stronger if I just focus on what’s happening in one chararacter’s head.

When I was writing SATR, I wanted to have four chapters from Koushirou’s POV and four chapters from Taichi’s POV, but it took me a while to pick which chapter would go to which character. “The Modem Mines” was originally going to be from Koushirou’s POV, but that all changed after I wrote “Anniversary,” and I decided that I needed to hear Taichi’s voice after that (for reassurance!!)

Generally, it’s easier for me to write the introvert’s POV, which is why my Koushirou chapters turned out longer than the Taichi ones.

10. What stories do you think are the most emblematic of your writing style and why?

One Night Stand - A Sorato story

This is one of my favorite Sorato one-shots! It’s a little sad, funny, and it’s very personal to me. It might be my most concise view of Sora and Yamato’s characters in one place, and how they are good for each other. I also feel proud of myself when I can write a clever ending!

Confession - A Taishiro story

I think that Anniversary is objectively the strongest story in SATR, but “Confession” is special to me, and I think that it’s maybe more “typical” of me. I have a tendency to get really sentimental after all, haha. “Confession” is a story that I always wanted to write and I’m pretty proud of it.

Home - A Femslash story

“Home” is a Mimi/Miyako story that’s dear to my heart. It’s based on a lot of personal headcanons with my sister. It’s at times wacky and sad. And very gay. All emblematic of me!

Sorato fanfiction

Eternity - 1,500 words. If you are a fan of Sorato, or if you really love Sora and Yamato’s characters, you MUST read “Eternity.” It is one of my two favorite one-shots in the world. It reads like a fairytale. The story is all about why Yamato loves Sora so much and there’s a beautiful metaphor that I don’t want to spoil. "Eternity” is written in English and Spanish.

Majestic - 1,200 words. “Majestic” is the first story I read by Koukacs, and it gave me a marvelous first impression of her. Apparently she dashed it off in one afternoon. It complements “Eterinty” very well, as it shows how Yamato is able to support Sora when she needs it. "Majestic” is written in English and Spanish.

Jyoumi fanfiction

Koukacs is the queen of Jyoumi, as they are her OTP. Which shows her impeccable taste. Her love for Jyou and Mimi always shines through.

Starting line - A collection of seven drabbles about Jyou and Mimi as they begin a romantic relationship in college. I love them all.

The dance - 695 words. Just my guess, but this MIGHT be the Jyoumi drabble that Koukacs is proudest of. Or maybe it’s the one that I’m just proudest of her for writing.

Koukari fanfiction

If you like Koukari, why on EARTH haven’t you read Koukac’s stories? 

Smiles - 1,000 words. Smiles is precious, a lovely exploration of Koushiro and Hikari’s characters, and you will love it even if you are the most ridiculous Taishiro fan in the world (that would be me).

Koushiro is Koukac’s favorite character!

Singular - 595 words. Besides “Eternity,” “Singular” is my other favorite one-shot. It’s a poignant portrait of Koushiro before he goes to the Digital World. It’s sad, but it moves my heart more than any other fanfiction.

“Koushiro and the Koushiros” is fanfiction of The Song of Love by Koukacs, which is fanfiction of Digimon Adventure. I wrote it shortly after reading chapter 36.  This story is also loosely based on the episode “Steven and the Stevens” from Steven Universe.  

Summary: Fate was determined to stop Koushiro from singing, even if he had to create a time paradox that would destroy the world!

Word Count: ~2,600

So, I’ve been tryting to fix a novel I had started a long time ago and found out that replacing the boring male villain by a woman who has chemistry with the heroine was quite satisfying.

This is an excellent fix to tbh anything ever

Like, most of the boring movies I watch would be so much better if they weren’t racist or sexist or homphobic like those tropes are shitty on their own merit but they’re also really boring.
