Last time on Lego Fanfiction- Part 3-
A silence filled the room.
The director let out a reluctant sigh.
“Where are those yahoo’s anyhow?” Rogue asked. “We thought someone would be willin’ ta help us out of a jam.”
“The Avengers aren’t assembled at the moment,” Direct Fury said.
“Huh?” Rogue asked.
“Their whereabouts are classified. That’s all you need to know,” Fury said, ending the discussion. “Now, what happened after you sent your enemies to my tower?”
“You mean, after we discovered how woefully undefended your precious stronghold truly is?” Magneto asked.
“Sugar, play nice,” Rogue said, reaching out to take his hand.
“We were attempting to,” Magneto replied. “Not that that went to plan. Otherwise, there’d be more of us present in the room and we wouldn’t be-“
“True, but unhelpful, Magneto,” Storm interrupted. “After we realized there was no one to aid us, we refocused our efforts to take back the Blackbird.”
“And they got away,” Rogue shrugged.
“So, what's your plan now?” Fury asked.
“Return to Charles’s estate with the X-Men’s reclaimed property and utilize Cerebro to locate our foe. Assuming, Cyclops managed to finish the repairs,” Magneto answered.
“I have every faith in our compatriot,” Storm voiced.
“So… guess we’d better skedaddle,” Rogue said as they all took a few tentative steps away from Fury and his agents.
“WAIT!”
“Who’s gonna pay for the damages?” Fury asked.
“What damages?” Magneto asked, feigning innocence.
“Have a pleasant evening, Director,” Magneto smirked.
