Random note to myself about Stiles 'real' name if it is indeed 'Gemin'.
Messing around on Google translate between Russian and English, Russian gave me the translation of 'ferriporphypin' for Gemin... now I was like... wtf is that? So googled. Took me to a baby name website- and I love etymology so- it tells me its for the name 'Lock' or the twins (as in Gemini).
Now, this is interesting because I knew about Gemini aka the twins, but thinking about it in the terms of the most recent episode Stiles seems split between two personalities. And shows signs of Schizophrenia- mostly the hallucinations and disorganized thinking (in terms of being unable to read)- perhaps of the Differential sort as he exhibits hints of bipolar disorder. Perhaps Stiles and his mother are both prone to schizophrenia, (maybe Claudia Stilinski took her own life) and thus twin meaning dual personality.
Lock however, raised greater question to mind... as a lock generally keeps things in place. My only thoughts on this were- Stiles being the once fundamental grounding character of Teen Wolf as he was the only human cast member to consistently reminding us of their humane venerability. He literally 'locked' the show in place between supernatural and natural.
