During “Take your forehead to brunch day” I pondered the truth. Well not my truth, like the internet likes to “live in” or “speak on” but the pervasive one we all share. What we are really speaking on is our individual experiences- in which we always seem to force on to other people as if it is the truth. When I speak to people I must remember that they are just as connected to their thoughts and experiences as I am to my own. So the task of relating someone other than myself relies on my ability to listen to their experiences without persuading them to understand my own. Reminding myself that I don’t know everything. That even though I litter the path of self mastery with mistakes I shouldn’t get off of it. That I should never be embarrassed for trying even if I fail. Reminding myself to stay diligent but knowing when to rest. To keep my actions stronger then my captions. To follow through on my plans and double down on my dreams. That the ultimate validation really comes from within.
