The Book of Lamentations continues with further record of the ongoing life drawing sessions from the #liverpoolindependentartschool sessions for @the_liverpool_nude with @paulg.art and @thequeenofheartbreak these are two weeks sets with the first three being from a set of drawings inspired by ideas of psychedelia and drawn while listening to a range of appropriate music. It was a great fun session and these are drawn in hallucinatory Windsor and Newton inks. Images 4, 5 and 6 were from a previous session influenced by Egon Schiele- he was a genius and my work looks nothing like his but I must say that I always found his work so ugly that it was difficult to look at. I hadn’t realised how awkward and stilted that would make these drawings feel. I think both sets indicate the frame of mind or context for drawings can radically change how I engage with them.
