20180918 // 2 more weeks to PSLE. Many kids (I believe more parents) are now at their last sprint to the end of the race for primary life! . Many years back, my PSLE score was only 203! I had to choose between express or normal stream. It was devastating because I wanted to go into Tanjong Katong Girls’ School as that being my Mum’s Secondary School! I wanna do my mum proud but honestly, how can I go in to that school when my math is always 20+/100??? Eventually, I chose to go into express stream (means “not so good” school) as this is the safest route from the start. Well, I just need to study hard to stay in 4 years and not study Super extra hard to move from normal to express in A BETTER SCHOOL! . Who knows I scored so well in Sec 1 that I am 2nd in class & 6th in whole level??? Fast forward, I managed to complete my diploma and later degree in Australia! . But soul searching, realisations of many things & life changing decisions diverted me to the service line. Proud to say that I was a Singapore Airlines Girl! I brought along lifetime skill sets which are now kind of born in me and also allows me to excel in what I am doing now! . I know my mum was very proud of me. She knew that I work hard in whatever I do. So honestly, one’s success is not based on quantifying numbers/ grades. Not even a high paying profession determines one’s success! Most importantly, we all need to learn adaptability, good mannerisms & charity!
