there  isn't  another  soul  in  the  building  besides  the  two  of  them   .  .  .  and  terror .  butcher's  guard  is  rarely  dropped ,    tender  moments  are reserved  for  the  small  grunting  bulldog  awaiting  at  lift  onto  the  couch  to  take  his  designated  spot .    he  bends  at  the  knee  to  aid  the  dog  onto  the  cushions ,    joints  crack  with  the  effort  to  regain   his  full  height  ⎯⎯     reluctant  supe  or  not ,    his  body  might  heal  with  tremendous  speed  but  joints  and  muscles  still  screamed  when  the  pressure  was  applied .

he  doesn't  notice  her  instantly ,     too  engrossed  in  terror's  company  as  he  snuffles  and  grunts  with  utter  canine  joy  as  butcher  runs  his  hands  across  his  back .    fingers  scrub  at  the  bulldog's  fur ,    short  strands  of  fur  scattered  across  butchers  lap  and  ingrained  itself  deep  within  his  clothes  -    black  pants  were  littered  with  half  a  dog's  worth  of  terror's  white  coat .

“Oh, yeah?” He questioned with a raised brow. “You know I’ll do it anyway, but I kinda like the idea of you begging for it.”

 “What’s wrong with your dress? Is it too big?”

colliding with a wall, then each other's lips. + urgent, messy kisses as both parties scramble to undress.

Milo had been trying really hard to behave all evening. It was just a matter of time for him to lose his patience and not be able to hold back anymore (and he was a really patient guy).

Ever since he showed up at Sophia’s house to pick her up, his mind had run wild thinking how good she looked in that dress she was wearing —how it fit her perfectly and hugged her figure in all the right places. Milo went dumbstruck at the sight, but he wanted to be a gentleman and not say out loud what he was thinking right then, so he only told her she looked ‘absolutely beautiful’. How he’d prefer staying in and taking it off rather than going out with her friends. Too bad they had compromised to go and he didn’t want to give off a bad impression given it was the first time they’d all hung out together being a real couple.

Of course, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her the entire night and he was pretty sure Sophia had noticed this from the very beginning. She didn’t say anything, but she would purposely  lean over and press herself against him, or cross one leg over the other that would make the hem of the dress rise high up her thigh. It was driving him crazy.

Needless to say, the moment they got back to Soph’s apartment, Milo could hardly wait until she closed the door that he was already pressing her against it as he kissed her fiercely. His hands roam every curve, while his lips now sink on her neck causing a soft moan to escape from her. “You have no idea how hard it was to hold back in front of your friends,” he whispered before he went back to kiss her. Bruisy and needy. Their bodies were now moving clumsily, with desperation too —her trying to unbutton his shirt and him unzipping her dress. All while their backs were colliding in turns against each wall standing in their way towards the living room.

“Are you pouting now?” He laughs, leaning over her lips, hovering, but still not giving her the kiss she so adamantly requested. “You’re lucky I think you’re kinda cute, ‘cause I love when you do that.” Finally, he closes the distance and kisses her properly.

If she had asked this very same question after they put an end to their fake dating facade, Milo would have had a very different answer than the one threatening to leave his lips. He knew for sure he wouldn’t be hesitating right then because to him nothing of what they had done was fake. Everything felt very real to Milo after their impromptu kiss in front of Max to make him jealous, and it had been hard for him to pretend he wasn’t feeling anything other than platonic love for Soph. 

Once the ploy was over, they both returned to how things were before it all started —he thought he wasn’t Sophia’s type and that she would never get to see him as anything else other than a friend. So eventually, Milo decided to move on, and he was now seeing someone else, even though his heart still belonged to Soph. It was hard, but he needed to get over her, which honestly hadn’t been easy. Needless to say, her coming up now to confess her feelings for him was the worst timing ever.

“Look, Soph… I-I just…” Milo looked down at his feet, because if he looked at her he knew he would probably do something he regretted later. Hell, he couldn’t tell her he still had feelings for her. It wouldn’t be fair to his new partner —probably wasn’t for either when his heart wasn’t in the right place, but he wanted to try with this person. Milo couldn’t just ditch them because now the one he initially wanted to be with showed up in his life, besides if he did that, he couldn’t be sure that things with Soph would work out either. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. “I can’t do this right now,” he finally said, daring to look at her now. “I, um, I’m actually seeing someone.”

“What’s up with you? Are you sick or something?” He notices it, he’s not blind. But he’d have his fun with her for a little bit, so he closes the distance between them. “Or is there something you want?”
