Bitterblue: Katsa, how do you get someone to like you?
Katsa: Try to kill them.
Bitterblue: I don’t think that’s right...
Katsa: It worked with Po.
Po: True!
Queen Bitterblue
I haven’t posted in a while because I wasn’t sure how I felt about this piece, but I decided to just get it out here so I could move on to other sketches. I’m planning on rereading the Seven Kingdoms Trilogy after I finish Ruin and Rising, so here’s to my favorite character, Bitterblue.
Letter to her majesty
Set about 1-2 years after Bitterblue. I think Bitterblue and Giddon would often write to one another.Â
Pretty clear that I’m a fan of Bitterblue and Giddon skjfshkj. I love their friendship and it has potential to grow into something more. Plus I’m a fan of slow burn ships. I’d like to think that their romance doesn’t come along until years later and Bitterblue is is older , 20+ with more understanding of her feelings. Giddon would probably tried to keep his feelings to himself ( as best as he can )because she’s a queen and everything.
SO I have a new graceling head anon, and if you guys like it i might try to write a fix (I've never done that before ah) BUT
So in the one part of graceling, po explains the importance of his rings to Katsa. He mentions that if he ever has a wife or children, he would wear a ring for each of them. I think that at some point Katsa or po, not sure which, would find a blue and green opal (like this one), and since it looks like Katsa's eyes,
Katsa would let him turn it into a ring that he would wear, NOT BC THEYRE MARRIED they wouldn't get married but just like a hey, I love this person. Kinda like a promise ring but not?

I’m wearing khaki shorts and a white button down with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, which is my closest current approximation of lienid summerwear and I’m so happy. Mostly because I think it looks really good, but that opinion is also largely informed by liking looking lienid. I’m just missing the rings and earrings since the only gold thing I own is a necklace and I’m poor and also want gold that’s ethically sourced, but I am wearing a silver earring and a silicon ace ring so I’ve got some jewelry. Also I have the swoopy dark hair and it’s so validating
Your brothers are the foolish ones for not seeing the strength in beautiful things.
Kristin Cashore, (Graceling)
Reinos: Lenidia (Lienid).
