Hi moonie! For the book asks: 17 nas 18! And another 19 if you want to be a bit more of a little hater
book asks
17. top 5 children’s books?
once again, you could ask me this question in a few hours and i may tell you something different, but in no particular order:
The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
Holes by Louis Sachar
The Giver by Lois Lowry
The Folk Keeper by Franny Billingsley
Bone by Jeff Smith
18. do you like historical books? which time period?
i’m not sure if this question means historical fiction or actual history books but regardless i love both so yes!!! i don’t really have a preference for setting or time period, i just read whatever sounds interesting to me at the moment lol, though i do have a particular weakness for stuff that takes place in ancient time periods. most recently i enjoyed The Hymn to Dionysus by Natasha Pulley, very fun read that i have a lot to say about lol
19. most disliked popular books?
love indulging in a little haterism moment lol. ok let’s talk about Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. i HATED that book so bad, and i remember reading it with question marks like surely the fact that people keep reccing it to me must mean it’s good, right???? wrong. the only reason i was able to get through it is because i spent the whole thing headcanoning wu zetian as an isekai protagonist to give myself peace of mind over how inexplicably modern and western her sensibilities were compared to everyone else in the setting. anyways the full haterism spiel is on my storygraph here but suffice to say, the thought that this book is a lot of people’s introduction to this specific diaspora fantasy fiction genre makes me so mad
