SPECIAL! Halloween Traditions
âBaby, hurry up! You take forever!â Harry called up the stairs of your home, his voice echoing around the large building, his voice bouncing in the atmosphere. âHold on, hold on⊠I canât find my phone!â You cried back, hearing his chuckle from downstairs. âSweetheart, itâs down here. Now, come down these steps and letâs go. We need to be there on time, to pick the best pumpkinsâ Harry called, as you walked down the stairs, dressed warmly for the cold, fresh air outside in London.
âWell, donât you look all cosy?â He asked, as he passed your phone to you, watching you slide it into your front trouser pocket. âYour jumper is the only thing that can keep me warm on a day like thatâŠâ You sighed, looking out the window to see dull clouds in the sky. âHmm⊠I suppose. But I could have kept you warm!â He whined, as you poked his shoulder playfully. âCome on, you big baby. Letâs goâ You grinned, taking his beanie from his head. âHey! You messed my hair now!â He whined, as he ran a hand through his long curls, holding it in a bun at the back of his head.
âYou know⊠I love it when you wear your hair upâ You smirked, as you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling his head down to level with yours. âOh, do you now?â He asked, his minty breath fanning your face. âI do⊠You should wear it up more oftenâ You grinned, as he placed a kiss to your nose. âCome on, letâs goâ He grinned, as he laced your fingers together.
âSo, I was thinkingâŠâ Harry started, as your hands swung between the two of you, the gate for the pumpkin patch coming into sight. âWe could get 2 pumpkins. One large one and one small oneâ He smiled, as you looked up at him, a confused look on his face. âWhat?â You asked, as he chuckled lightly. âThe large one could be me, and the small one could be you⊠Like, couples pumpkins. You know, we could put our faces in them, or our namesâŠâ He suggested, as the two of you walked under the sign, and into the pumpkin patch. âI like that idea⊠I never knew you had such creative ideas in hereâ You giggled, tapping his head cheekily. âOh, haha. That wasnât funnyâ He said sarcastically, placing a kiss to your head. âCome on⊠Then, we can go to the coffee shop and get you a coffeeâ He smiled, as he set off down the lanes of pumpkins.
âOooh, this one is good, Haz!â You called from one side of the pumpkin patch field, your gaze focused on one large pumpkin on the ground. âI have a good one for youâŠâ He smirked, as he picked up a small baby pumpkin, and showing you. âHarold! I am not small⊠Iâm nearly as tall as youâ You cried, as an elderly couple walked behind you, their grandchildren toddling in front. âIâm joking, baby. Iâm kidding. I have a good one, I promiseâ He said, as he picked up a fairly normal sized pumpkin, for you. He walked over to you, the pumpkin sat under his arm. âOh, thatâs a nice one. Good spot, babyâ He mumbled, as he placed the pumpkin from his arm on the floor. âThank youâŠâ You grinned, proudly. âI deserve a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and a slice of carrot cake for that, I thinkâ You smirked, as he turned to look at you. âDonât push itâŠâ He said, as he lifted the large pumpkin up.
âWell, that was a walk and a half⊠How was your first pumpkin picking?â He asked, as you snuggled deeper into his side, your coffee mug in your hands. âIt was wonderful, thanks to the man who took meâ You smiled, as you looked up, eyes connecting. âYouâre welcome⊠Now openâ He whispered, as he held the fork to your lips, crumbs falling from the carrot cake, and onto the plate in his hand. âThis is incredible cakeâ You said, chewing softly on the moist, fluffy material.
âI could make thisâŠâ He muttered, as you took a sip. âOr, we can both make Pumpkin Pie later on, when we finish carving these thingsâ He said, kicking the orange fruit by his feet. âSounds like a planâ You smiled, patting his thigh gently.
â(Y/N)! Weâve missed you!â You heard two voices call, as you turned from your spot in the kitchen, to see two young girls dressed completely different to the other. âHello girls! Iâve missed you too! Donât you look fabulous in your outfits?â You grinned, as Phoebe did a small twirl, her witches dress flaring out. âWhereâs your mum? And Dan? And your sisters?â You asked, as Johannah stepped into the kitchen. âHello, sweetpea! Youâve definitely become the best decorated house on the street!â She said, as she took you up into her arms, being careful of your hair, which was back-combed and sprayed to make it look like cobwebs had been made in your hair. âWell, you can thank Louis for that. He wanted to be the best decorated house this year⊠He went full out this morningâ You giggled, as Louis stepped into the kitchen, dressed in his rockstar costume, with a star painted on his eye.
âIâm proud of this, thank you very much. My lovely missus here decorated the inside, and I did the outside. Quite impressive actuallyâ He smiled, as he walked over to you, placing a kiss to your temple. A scream from one of the girls was soon heard in the house, a door slamming and footsteps running into the kitchen. âI suppose that Zombie sitting on the toilet was Louisâ idea!?â Felicite asked, a hand on her chest. âSorry⊠It worked thought!â Louis laughed, as his sister smacked his arm. âNot funny, at all, Louis! I nearly died!â She cried, a laugh escaping her lips. âWhereâs Lottie?â You asked, as Johannah peeked around the door, looking into the sitting room.
âSheâs in here, finishing off her make-up. Sheâs done everyoneâs today⊠Very talented little lady we have hereâ Johannah said, as you opened the kitchen door wider, looking into the room. âOh, wow⊠You look incredible, Lottie!â You giggled, as she turned around, her hair in pigtails above her ears, pom-poms sat on the coffee table, and a dress on her body with blood and scars. âSay, I had to look awesome if we were coming to a party like this!â She smiled, as she walked up to Louis and hugged him tightly. âAnd here we have⊠An octopus and a spiderâ You heard Dan say, as he walked into the house, kicking the door shut behind him. âOh my goodness⊠That is adorable!â You squealed, as Dan placed the twins on the floor by the sofa, the hands clapping with delight. âDanâs idea for the octopusâ Johannah said, as Louis laughed. âAre we going to get this party started or not!?â Felicite asked, as she turned the stereo on, music blasting around the house.
The party was in full swing, Louisâ family all enjoying the small nibbles, games and films playing on the TV. âI think weâve aced this⊠We should definitely through a large one next year. Have all the boys over, your family, their families, my family⊠We could definitely pull off party of the yearâ Louis grinned, his arm wrapped around your shoulder. âOh, I have the best costumes for next year!â He grinned, as you looked up, a smile on your face. âZombie bride and groom⊠What an idea!â He grinned, as you laughed softly. âSounds like a great ideaâŠâ You whispered, as you watched Doris and Ernest shuffle along the floor, the homemade legs dragging along the carpet. âCome here, you little spider!â Louis grinned, as he picked Ernest up, watching as Dan picked up Doris. âArenât you a scary looking spider? Did Lottie do your face?â Louis asked, as Ernest giggled and patted Louisâ face. âShe did, didnât she? Sheâs a clever sister, isnât she?â Louis grinned, as he looked over to his sisters dancing like crazy in the corner.
âHey, girls? Do you want to play a game?â Louis asked, as they walked over, crowding around him. âWhat game?â Felicite asked, as you stood up. âCome with me, and weâll show youâ You grinned, as you walked into the kitchen, seeing Johannah sat at the table with Dan, who had Doris on his lap. âOoh, hello. What are you up too now?â Dan asked, as you smiled cheekily, walking over to the fridge, pulling out 3 bowls of jelly. âI have a game for us to playâ You smiled, as Louis took a bowl from you. âThere are bugs in here, yeah? You have to get them out, and the first one to get all of them out, wins thisâ Louis grinned, as he held up a bag of chocolate coins. âOkay, that sounds easyâ Lottie grinned, as Louis smirked. âThereâs a twist⊠You canât use your hands. Only your faceâ He grinned, as Lottieâs face dropped. âBut⊠My hairâ She whispered, as you giggled softly. âYou can wash it straight away⊠I promiseâ You smiled, as Louis split the kids into three teams. âRight, Lottie and Fizzy are the green team, Phoebe and Daisy are the orange team, and me and (Y/N) are the red teamâ He said, as you grinned cheekily.
âOkay, and three, two, one, go!â Johannah said, as you stuck your face into the jelly, Lottie and Phoebe doing the same. âMessy, or what?â Dan asked, as Louis laughed. âCome on, babe!â He cheered, as you pulled out a bug from the bottom of the bowl. âThis is icky, Tommo! Why did you come up with this!?â You cried, as he pushed your head into the jelly. âEugh!â You squealed, before digging around in the mush. Lottie soon had all of the bugs from the jelly, ending the game, all three of you with jelly covered faces. âYou look gorgeous, girls!â Johannah laughed, as she took a quick photo. âSo beautifulâŠâ Louis whispered in your ear, as you turned around, placing a kiss on his lips, making sure your rub your face with his, a giggle and a laugh coming from the two of you.
âHello there, Batmanâ You giggled, walking into the bedroom, seeing Liam sliding into his Batman costume. âHello, Robin⊠My gorgeous sidekickâ He smirked, as he looked up, seeing you dressed in your Robin costume. The green skirt barely covering your thighs, the tight black top adorning your body. âI donât know, LiamâŠâ You sighed, as you looked in the mirror at your outfit. âWhatâs wrong?â He asked, as he walked over, kicking off the outfit from his ankles. His boxers hanging on his hips. âLiam, I feel exposedâŠâ You mumbled, pulling the top up your chest, trying to cover as much cleavage as possible. âYou look wonderful, baby⊠I promise youâ He whispered, kissing the shell of your ear showing from your hair.
âLiam, I donât knowâŠâ You muttered, as he wrapped his arms around your waist. âBaby, you look wonderful. I promise youâ Liam said, as you looked up. âI think I got the wrong size, Liam⊠The skirt barely covers my legsâ You sighed, as he looked down at your legs, his eyes lingering. âLiamâŠâ You warned, as he lifted his head up, a blush on his cheeks. âSorry⊠You look incredible. Please, baby. Donât leave Batman to be alone, he needs his trusty sidekickâ He said, as you sighed. âFine, fine⊠If I want to come home, we can come home, yeah?â You asked, as he nodded. âOf course. Of course. To be completely honest, I donât really want to go out tonight. I was looking forward to a nice little cuddle, watching a movie, and answering to little kidsâ Liam admitted, as you sighed.
âCanât we stay home?â You asked, as he shook his head. âI promised Tom and Andy that weâd goâ He admitted, as you groaned, turning around, and resting your forehead against his chest. âCome on, we need to do your faceâ He said, as you hissed. âI donât want tooâ You whined, as he chuckled. âCome on, you need to do mineâ He said, as you groaned. âHurry up and get dressed thenâ You sighed, smiling up at him.
âSo, you just want the bottom half of your face black?â You asked, a plastic plate of face-paint in your hand. âWhy not just wear a mask? You got a mask with the costume, didnât you?â You asked, as he nodded, from his seat on the toilet lid. âI want my face done⊠Or, you could just past his eye mask over my face? Of maybe the batman sign! Oh, do that!â He grinned, like a child at Christmas. âOkay, okay. Calm downâ You giggled, as you grabbed your black make-up pencil, drawing an outline over his face. âLike that, yeah?â You asked, placing the lid on, as he looked in the mirror. âYeah, looks good. Have you been taking tips from Zayn?â He asked, chuckling lightly. âNope, I did art as a GCSE, did I not tell you?â You smiled, dabbing the sponge into the black paint.
âWell, I think we look pretty fantasticâ Liam grinned, as he went to take a photo of the both of you for Instagram. âWe do, donât we? Iâm warming up to my outfitâ You grinned, as he snapped a photo, his lips on your cheek. âLetâs get going. Tom and Andy are waiting in the taxi downstairsâ Liam said, as he slipped his phone into your bag. âCome on then, you party animalâ You giggled, following him out the room, and down the stairs. âHave you got everything? Money? Phone?â You asked, as he nodded. âI do, I packed it all when you were in the shower earlierâ He said, as you nodded. âRight, letâs go then. Weâre ready to partyâ You grinned, as he took your hand, leading you out of the house.
âWa-hey! Batman and his sidekick, Robin!â Andy grinned, as Liam got into the car, helping you in. âHey, lads. You alright?â Liam asked, as you sat beside him, shutting the door behind you. âJust ready to partyâŠâ Tom grinned, as the taxi drove off. âWhere is this party again?â You asked, a hand resting on Liamâs thigh. âAt Funky Buddha. Itâs their annual Halloween partyâ Andy said, as he smiled at you. âMust I say, you look incredible in that outfit, loveâ He added, as you blushed a bright red. âThank you. You look wonderful too. And you, Tomâ You grinned, as they thanked you. âIâd love to match costumes with my girlfriend⊠But, sheâs gone away, which sucksâ Andy muttered, as Tom chuckled, patting his knee. âWe could have match, Andy⊠I was well up for thatâ He said, as Liam laughed. âAwh, you guys would have been really cute!â You grinned, as Tom kicked your knee playfully.
A few hours had passed, and Liam had officially let himself go. He had drunk more than he should, and being the drunk he is, he never let you go. He was cuddled into you, his arms were always around you, and he would pull you onto the dancefloor with him, with you pulled against his body. âBabe?â He slurred, his arm wrapped loosely around your waist. âI⊠Love youâ He hiccupped, the smell of alcohol on his breath. âI love you too, babeâ You smiled, leaning up and placing a kiss to his cheek. âI want to go home⊠My headâs hurting, and I feel sickâ He whined, his head falling to your shoulder. âI told you not to eat all of those chocolates, LiamâŠâ You sighed, as he pouted down at you. âCome on then, letâs go home. Youâre going to have a killer headache in the morningâŠâ You sighed, as he groaned. âDonât⊠Iâm never going out on Halloween againâ He muttered, causing you to giggle softly, and take his hand in yours.
âDo you have the bowls of sweets, Zayn?â You asked, as you rushed in from the kitchen, a bowl of cookies in your hand. âI do, theyâre all set up by the door. Donât worryâ Zayn called from the porch, where he was hanging the fake cobweb up in the corner. âWell, doesnât this look wonderful?â You grinned, as he turned around, and stepped back into the house, taking in his work. He had written âHappy Halloweenâ on a piece of paper, with drawings of pumpkins and vampires and monsters surrounding it. âIt does⊠Thank you, sweetnessâ He grinned, as he wrapped an arm around your waist.
âWhat time is Niall and Harry coming?â You asked, as he shrugged. âThey told me 8, to try and miss the trick or treaters, so we have another 3-4 hours on our ownâ He grinned, as you looked up. âWell, I have Paranormal Activity set up, come and watch it with me? This looks good in here, donât worryâ You smiled, as he took your hand, closing the front door. âCome on thenâ He muttered, as he took a cookie from the bowl in your hand.
âI donât get why you like these films⊠Itâs completely fakeâ Zayn muttered, as he bite from another cookie from the bowl. âIs someone scared?â You asked, patting his knee softly. âNo I am not⊠I just donât get why this is a film. Like, itâs clearly someone acting as the person pushing and pulling everythingâ He said, as you looked at him. âYou are so freaked, arenât you?â You asked, as he looked down at you. âNo, I am not. I do not get scared, missyâ He said, his attention turning to the door. The chatter of people from the other side coming through to the sitting room. âYou go, Iâll go and get the brownies from the ovenâ You said, as he stood up, rushing to the door.
âTrick or treat!â Someone said, a laugh coming from Zayn. âWhat do you look like?â You heard him say, before a bang from the front door being shut. âThat was quickâŠâ You said, as you walked into the sitting room, seeing two people sat on the sofa. Harry and Niall. âHey boysâ You said, as they turned their heads, grinning. âHey, love! We brought drink, and chocolate⊠You know, to help with the snacksâ Harry grinned, as you placed the bowl of brownies on the table beside the cookies. âThank you boys, do you look all creepy dressed up like that?â You asked, as Harry took the bald cap off, along with his nose as well. âI hated that⊠I thought we could have freaked Zayn out, but it didnât work. Niall gave it awayâŠâ He said, as Niall shrugged. âI couldnât take Harry seriously with the nose⊠He just looked stupidâ Niall laughed, as Zayn took a seat on the armchair. âWell, he did look quite scary, Iâll give him his dueâ You giggled, as you sat on the arm by Harry.
âSo, what movies have we got lined up?â Niall asked, as you walked over to the table, picking up a handful of DVDs. âWe have the Paranormal Activity films, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mama, The Conjuring, and whatever films youâve broughtâ You smiled, as Harry grinned. âThey sound wonderful⊠And you made your brownies too!â Niall grinned, as he picked the bowl up. âAh, ah⊠Put it down!â You said, as he pouted at you. âI have more brownies in the oven now⊠Donât worryâ You smiled, as he grinned, taking one from the bowl. âSo, what movie first?â Zayn asked, as he looked to the three of you sat on the sofa. âHow about The Nightmare Before Christmas?â You suggested, your head turning to the door. âYou put it in, Iâll get the doorâ You grinned, as you ran to the door, opening it up. You grinned as you looked down at the small children, dressed from skeletons, to ghosts, to werewolves, to princesses. âAwh, you all look incredible! Here we goâ You grinned, holding the bowl, as all the children took sweets from it.
âWe should have a party next yearâŠâ You suggested from your place on Zaynâs lap in the armchair. âLike, a themed party. You know, Disney themed or pirate themed. Or maybe Scooby-Dooâ You grinned, as Zayn chuckled softly. âBaby, stop. Thatâs next year. Letâs stress thenâ Zayn grinned, Harry chuckled, sipping his beer, passing another to Niall. âLouis and Eleanor have gone to a party which is Zombie themed⊠They look pretty awesome from what Iâve seenâ Niall chuckled, as he showed the picture from Instagram. âLiam and Sophia have gone to the Funky Buddha Halloween party, dressed as The Joker and Maleficent. I was with them this morning⊠They looked pretty coolâ Harry laughed, as he showed the photo on his phone. âWe should have a party next year. Organise it early though..â Zayn said, as you nodded.
âWell, Mama it is then!â Harry grinned, as you put the DVD in the DVD player, taking your seat on the sofa, everyone having changed seats. Niall was drunkenly laid on the armchair, with Harry slouched on the sofa. You sat between Harry and Zayn, a blanket on your lap. âI hate this film.. Especially in the darkâ You whined, your head falling to Zaynâs shoulder. âAwh, come and have a cuddle with your cuddle buddy!â He grinned, a beer between his legs. âI hate you guys⊠I could have been at a party, with friends, drinking and singing, but instead you guys wanted a movie night instead!â You whined, as Harry lifted your legs onto his. âCheer up, miss moany pants. Itâs not realâ Harry slurred, patting your legs. âI know that, stupid. I hate watching them in the dark⊠You never know what could come behind youâ You started, your eyes widening as you felt someone breath on your neck. âBooâ Someone whispered behind you, causing you to scream. âWhat the heck!? Niall?â You asked, as he laughed. âSorry⊠That was just an opportunity that had to be taken!â He cried, as you slapped his shoulder. âYou suckâŠâ You muttered, before giggling.
âWhere is my gorgeous princess?â You heard Niall call from upstairs, a giggle coming from the room above the kitchen. âThere she is! Donât you look beautiful?â Niall asked, as you heard another giggle and a squeal. âDaddy, stop it! Youâre going to ruin my dress!â You heard your 5 year old whine, the floorboards creaking above you. Your daughters footsteps were heard running down the stairs, with Niallâs following, her quick and out of breath figure standing in the doorway. âMummy, do I look pretty?â You heard her ask, as you turned around from the counter, wiping your hands on a tea towel. âYou loo gorgeous, baby! Oh, so very prettyâ You smiled, as she walked into your open arms. âMummy? Are you coming trick or treating? Can we go and see Uncle Louis? Oh, and Uncle Harry!? He gives me ice creamâ She said, as Niall walked into the kitchen, dressed in his Prince Charming outfit to match your daughters.
âNow, who is that gorgeous prince standing in my kitchen doorway? I have never felt so honoured to have a prince stand in my homeâ You said, jokingly, as Niall walked over, placing a kiss to your head. âHello, mâlady. You are looking very beautiful in your apron this eveningâ Niall grinned, as you smacked his head cheekily. âIâm going to change now⊠Iâve got cookies and cakes, and muffins made, I donât want you eating them, do you hear me? They are for laterâ You grinned, as you patted his chest. He scoffed, looking at you. âI wouldnât eat them! Iâm not so sure about this innocent little princess here though. You should keep an eye on this oneâ He joked, pulling his young daughter into his body.
âRight, who do we want to visit first, sweetie?â You asked from the driver seat, Niall sitting in the passenger seat beside you. âCan we see Uncle Louis? And Auntie Eleanor?â She asked, chewing on a chocolate bar you had given her. âOf course we can. Then we can go and see Uncle Harry too, yeah?â Niall asked, as she nodded in the back seat. âYeah! Uncle Harry gives me ice creamâŠâ She said, as she blushed a bright red. âAwh, does someone have a crush on Uncle Harry?â You asked, as she covered her face, blushing. âMummy, sh!â She whispered, as Niall chuckled softly. âUncle Harry will be happyâ He grinned, as you slapped his shoulder, turning down Louisâ and Eleanorâs road.
âUncle Louis, open the door!â Your daughter shouted, banging her flat palm against the wood. âHold on, little lady. I need to get some sweets for youâŠâ You heard Louis call, rustles and footsteps being heard. âWhatâs the words, little lady?â Louis asked, as your daughter giggled. âTrick or treat!â She said, as he opened the door. âAh, hello you! Donât you look beautiful, you little princessâ Louis grinned, as Eleanor came to the door. âAwh, look at you! You even get your daddy to dress up tooâ Eleanor giggled, as she hugged you tightly. âMummy said daddy had to, otherwise she wouldnât give him a special cuddle laterâŠâ Your daughter said, as she took the chocolate from the bowl Louis was holding. âOhhh, a bit of bribery eh?â Louis winked, looking at your shocked expression. Eleanor laughed softly before grabbing her camera, and getting her and Niall to stand together. âLetâs get some photos, then you can get off and get lots of chocolateâ Eleanor grinned, as Louis placed the bowl down.
After many photos had been taken, and many kisses had been exchanged, you and Niall got your daughter back in the car, after many pleads of wanting to stay with Louis. âCome on then, letâs go and have ice-cream with Uncle Harry. He may let you stay the night, if you ask him nicelyâ Niall said, as your daughter giggled. âCan I, mummy? Can I stay with Uncle Harry?â Your daughter asked, as you sighed, and smiled at her. âIf Uncle Harry is okay with itâŠâ You said, as she squealed. âUncle Harry gives me ice-cream, mummy. And he has Frozen too! He sings with me!â Your daughter giggled, as you pulled into Harryâs driveway.
âThereâs my gorgeous little princess!â Harry grinned, as he knelt down, and picked your daughter up. âAnd thereâs your Prince Charming⊠Doesnât your daddy look funny all dressed up like that?â Harry joked, as Niall gave him a sarcastic look. âUncle Harry? Can I have some ice-cream instead of sweets? Uncle Louis gave me a lot, and I feel sick from them!â Your daughter sighed, as Harry poked her nose cheekily. âOf course you can. With chocolate sauce, and sprinkles, yeah?â He asked, as he set your daughter on the ground. âYep! Thank you, Uncle Harry!â Your daughter said, as she lifted the front of her dress up, and ran into the house. âHarry, would you mind looking after her tonight? She really wants to stay hereâŠâ You asked, as he turned round, smiling. âOf course I can. I have a set of her pyjamas here, Iâll just bring her home tomorrowâ He said, as you sighed happily. âThank you, Haz. Youâre a life saverâ You grinned, as he pulled you in for a hug. âYou better get home and take care of your Prince Charmingâ Harry smirked, winking at Niall.
âSweetie, come here!â You called from your place on the sofa, in the living room of Harryâs home. âYes, mummy?â She asked, as she walked in with a bowel of ice-cream. âYou be good for Harry tonight, yeah? Treat him well, and donât trick him. I know your daddy has been giving you some ideas⊠Donât do themâ You said, as Harry chuckled. âOh, she wouldnât⊠Sheâs a princessâ Harry said, as she grinned and twirled around, her dress flaring out. âShe wouldnât follow the evil Halloween tricksâŠâ Harry grinned, as he patted Niallâs back.
âIâm surprised Prince Charming gave her those ideas, anywayâ He joked, as Niall laughed, patting your thigh softly.
Happy Halloween, for yesterday! Thought I would post a little special preference for the special festivity. Hope you all had a great day yesterday, and got lots of sweets and chocolate. I had a wonderful Halloween party, so that was good. :)
