Julia "Lia" Ramirez
Age: 12½
Location: Gravity Falls, OR
Hobbies: Writing
Lia is one of Soos' cousins, and while it isn't obvious at first, it becomes apparent as one gets to know her. She often spends most of her time in her room, writing stories and listening to her Vinyl collection.
One day, Lia's mother kicked her out of the house so that she could spend some time outside and experience the real world. Lia, of course, took a portable record player, her favorite Purple Lloyd album, and a maroon, leather-bound journal her cousin found and gave her, went off in the forest, and wrote while listening to the psychedelic sounds of 1960's space rock. Lia really enjoyed what she wrote on that particular day, so that became her new writing ritual for a while, sticking with the story she'd been crafting in her new journal.
Since that day, however, she'd begun to notice a boy following her around. That boy was some sweaty kid with a vest and a hat. Not that she could judge what the nameless boy wore, she was wearing leg warmers and a hoodie in the summer, after all. Which, she wouldn't HAVE TO if they weren't AFRAID of giving girls POCKETS!!! Anyway-
Turns out the reason the boy was following her was because of her notebook. As it turned out, he had a journal that looked remarkably similar, but his had been used to document the crazy stuff in Gravity Falls. He thought she might have been the one to write it. Lia then introduced herself, and explained that she obtained the book from her cousin who'd found it for her. The boy then told her his name was Dipper, and that he actually read a bit of what she wrote when she wasn't looking, and liked what she wrote. The two have been friends ever since, and Lia doesn't miss out on an opportunity to go on an adventure with Dipper.
Chris: I came up with a new drinking game. Every time I feel depressed, I drink.
Lia: That’s already a game. It’s called alcoholism.

Evan: What time is it?
Lia: I’m not your clock.
Lia: Jail is no fun, I’ll tell you that.
Kennedy: (surprised) You’ve been?
Lia: (panicking) Once. In Monopoly.
