Imagine it's Christmastime at the estate. The Summoner had explained what Christmas in their world was for the Units. They were so enthusiastic about hearing about the caroling, tree-decorating, baked goods, presents, and such that it was decided that there'd be a party in the largest room in the estate's main building. The whole room's big enough to fit every Unit at the estate. Many strings of multicolored lights adorn the walls, with paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling. There are even a few blow-up balloon decorations depicting penguins and polar bears. Eltri was situated inside already, all decorated with tinsel and cute ornaments made by the younger Units. He even had a neat little star the Summoner bought. The elder tree seemed pretty content and was smiling as he watched some Units continue decorating. Grahdens was dressed in all red, with a matching hat. After an argument with Bran, it was decided that he'd be the "Santa" of the party. The Summoner said he even had the laugh down. He sits on Eltri's root, conversing with him. "The room already looks festive! Wouldn't you agree, Great Tree?""Ah, please Santa, call me Eltri. Yes, I do not usually get involved with humans, but I must say this is a nice change of pace. I feel special.""Oh?" Grahdens points at the entrance door, where Zelnite and the Twins seem to be hanging out. "What're those young folks doing?""Ah... The Twins... I am willing to bet they are planning something mischievous." The tree lets out a laugh. "Ohoho... So young..."Yes, he's right. Mina, sitting on Il's shoulders, holds a big bushel of mistletoe above the entrance way. Zelnite, with a giggle akin to a schoolgirl, throws some sort of powder on the plant and pulls the two girls out of the doorway. "Hehehe, this is gonna be our best prank yet!" Il grins. "So, that magic dust..." Mina points to a pouch Zelnite is holding. "What does it do again?""Ah? Ah yes, this!" The Thief God holds it up proudly. "I, your cunning Thief God, have stolen this magic from the Healer Girls! It not only will keep the mistletoe there, but it'll forcibly pull whichever two Units walk under at the same time until they kiss! Romantic! It's my specialty, besides thieving, of course!""You say that like it's a good thing..." Il mutters. "So they created a powder just for that purpose..." Mina muses. "Yes and yes! Now, shall we get some cookies while we wait for the other guests?""Yaaaay!"Later...Vargas and Lava are the first victims of what we'll call the Magic Mistletoe. "H-Hey, what's that weird feeling?" Vargas asks as his feet inexplicably start moving towards Lava. Before she could answer, his arm uncontrollably brings her head in, leading the two to kiss. Her eyes widen as she pulls away first, face red in a mix of fury and flustered embarrassment. She storms off, with the Holy Flame dashing after her. "W-Wait! I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me!...""Haha!" Leon chortles as he walks next to Ophelia, who's apparently walking alone. "Looks like he finally made a move! Thataboy Vargas! Go get 'er!""Ugh." The Guardian rolls her eyes at her comrade. "Looks like she's not interested. Don't encourage him to just go in and ki-"As they walk under the mistletoe, she suddenly leans down (she's a little taller) and plants her lips on the thief's. Both are bright red as she slaps him away. "Oho... What was that?!" Leon grins like an idiot, ignoring the stinging pain in his cheek. "I-I don't kn-know!" she stutters as an answer. "I-I swear, that wasn't m-me!" Leon starts laughing, leading to her getting really angry. "HEY!! STOP GRINNING LIKE A BUFFOON, IDIOT!!""GAAAH!!l He's promptly chased into the room, in fear of her sudden wrath. Still, he smiles like he's accomplished something. "Ophelia!" Grybe calls after her whilst holding Fennia's hand. "Don't kill him- and she's got her sword..." He and Fennia had decided to go to the party as dates as well. "I'm sensing some weird magic in the air..." Fennia notes, finger on chin. "What's going on?"At that moment, they walk under the Magic Mistletoe. "What do you mean by ma-" Somehow, the Mech God is strong enough to resist the magic effect, but it looks as if he's resisting a magnetic pull. "-aaaahhh?!""W-What's going on?!" Fennia asks as she feels the pull. She looks up in sudden realization. "Th-That plant up there! Is it making us-" The two meet in the middle, uncomfortable at first, before they, unlike the others, enjoy the kiss."... My apologies," Grybe mumbles as they pull away. "You're fine! Ehe!~" The Battle Maiden gives a bright smile. "How strange... Perhaps we should tell the others about this. C'mon, let's go!""Coming! Don't run so fast! You might slip!"Many other couples, whether intentional or coincidental, find themselves influenced by the Magic Mistletoe effect. Some honorable mentions include Dilma and Lilith (with Dilma becoming way too excited from the event), Zeln and Nemia (which earned a punch in the face for Zeln), Loch and Edea (which led to Loch fainting), Will and Aem (with Aem also fainting and Will being more concerned with what the heck just happened), Farlon and Ramna (who didn't sense anything wrong), and Douglas and Serin (who just shrugged it off and continued on.)Eventually, the magic-using Units catch wind of the strange plant's effects and try to warn others, which doesn't work. Soon enough, Falma volunteers to try and cut down the strange plant. He hangs from the top of the doorway, yelling at everyone inside to not come close. But his blades strangely can't cut through its tight bond to the doorway. "What's keeping this stuff on it?! Come...on!""Oy, Falma!" Grafl, with an antlers headband on his head, waves as he starts coming in the hallway. "I found my headband! I've been looking for you-!""W-Wait! Don't come closer!" the Sky God warns, shaking his hand. "What? What's wrong?!" The Sky Emperor skids to a stop right under the doorway, just in time for Falma to drop down, grab his shoulders, and pull him in roughly for a kiss. "Mm-!" Falma pulls away from Grafl's face after a few seconds. "I-I am SO sorry!""Ah...wha...?""H-Hey! Speak to me!" "Is there...something you need to tell me?""That wasn't- did you just faint?! Don't sleep here! HEY!!"From faraway, Zelnite and the Twins are toasting mugs of hot chocolate to celebrate their successful prank. "Ah..." The Thief God sighs as he sips his cocoa. "Such romantic premonitions... Well done, dear princesses!""Yahoo!" Il cheers. "I cannot believe some of those pairings though," Mina sighs. "Some strange ones, but cute nonetheless.~""Oh, who's..." Il squints as she tries to see the next two victims. It's the Summoner and Maxwell, the former in "ugly" sweater and Santa hat. The Summoner holds another sweater in their hand with a hat. "I am NOT wearing this in front of the others!" the Creator protests, arms crossed. "I've already got them here though!""That matters not to me! I re-" The Magic Mistletoe takes effect and starts to pull them together. "What is this?!""M-Maxwell?!""Who is doing this?! Cease at once!"The Twins suppress their giggles as they watch the scene unfold. Zelnite looks a little on-edge however. "CEASE THIS AS ONCE!!" Maxwell shouts again as she tries to resist the mistletoe's effect. But it doesn't work. There's suddenly no space between the Summoner and Maxwell. The two try to struggle to part at first, before their eyes close and they take it all in. "..." Surprisingly, it's the Summoner who pulls away first. "... What...""I have been tainted by a mortal kid..." the Creator hisses. But she looks down sullenly. "Yet... It was what humans call 'enjoyable...'""So I was good?" The Summoner innocently grins. "... I suppose. You are satisfactory."Zelnite grins under his cloak as he reveals a small video camera to the Twins, who give an all-knowing smirk. "What say you two? A good Christmas memory, hm?""Oh, most certainly, Sir Zelnite!""Oh man we should totally do this again next year!""Agreed!""Hey!" The Summoner calls. "What's with all the staring?! C'mon! Bring on the music!" They grin as they look over the bustling scene. For once, everyone is relaxed. The Guardians are gathered and attempting to sing the "strange songs Summoner had introduced them." The Six Heroes are going around serving cookies and other goodies. Everyone is either conversing or laughing or trying to join in on the singing. For an army, it's a beautiful scene. Yet it feels as though it's missing something..."This is what Christmas is?" Maxwell asks the Summoner. "Yeah. Back at my home, it snows a lot too.""Snow...""Yeah, it's quite a scene too. True sign of winter, y'know?""..." Maxwell raises her hand, a bright blue light glowing as clouds form outside, as visible from a high window. Light snowflakes descend, as some Units outside notice. "... Like that?"The Summoner grins cheerfully. "Yeah, exactly! Thanks Maxwell!""... It is no trouble... It is a mere gift from me... Think nothing of it!""Wooow!" Someone shouts. "Look at this! It's like Egor's Snowfield out here!""Hey! Alice, wanna make a snowman?""Beautiful!""Merry Christmas, everybody!" the Summoner shouts, loud enough for everyone to hear. ~Mod Chu (Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Hope you enjoyed!)
