vending my feelings
koko was a crybaby, you didnāt even have to know him that well to know that. koko was very emotional, struggling quite a bit with regulating his feelings. his mom always said it was ācuteā, but for koko it generally makes it even more difficult to make friends. itās a bit lonesome at legacy so far, he hasnāt really been very good at making friends (but he hasnāt ever), besides his roommate, koko almost hangs out with nobody. when the others took a break from practice, they all found someone to talk to, koko sat alone in the corner. to get away from the feeling of loneliness, he knew what would cheer him up: snacks.
so he went out of the practice room, over to the vending machine, excitedly picking out which snack he wanted to eat, paid, and then it went wrong. he waits for a bit, maybe itās just slower than usually, nope, nothing happens. he tries tapping on the glass, not that that does anything. he stares at the snack that was supposed to be his, and before he knows it, tears are rolling down his cheeks, he could really use that snack right now.

the day koko entered male trainee dorm a, kenta let out a sigh of relief. koko is one of the few people at legacy kenta can speak japanese with--and he is so grateful for him. finally, someone in his dorm and classes that he doesn't have to stumble through every conversation. plus, koko was pretty great to be around, he was sweet and reminded kenta a bit of his sister back home. they'd been quick friends and kenta was nothing but grateful for him.
they were in their shared dorm room, studying for the workshops' they were assigned to for the next few weeks. unfortunately, the one thing kenta hated most in life was studying. in japanese, kenta sighed, "koko...i'm soooo tired of this book..." his head dropped so it was inside "is there anything more boring than verb" he paused, trying to remember the word in japanese. even when studying in his native language he hadn't been the best student. as he tried to find the word, his voice got more and more irritated. "conj...conjugat...whatever this stupid stuff is!"
