☀ valentine’s submission 01
maybe indy ( @indylgc ) takes too long to process things. that would make sense, given, well…everything in his life. it probably applies to now, too, when somin knocks on the door, it swings open, and she tosses him a bag of candy. she’s gone practically before he even catches it (but he does catch it; thank goodness.)
he stands there dumbly for a moment, the gears that must be incredibly rusty or something churning in his brain, and then he realizes! he can’t just let somin leave. he needs to give her candy too.
so he rushes over to his practice bag, haphazardly throws the new bag in it somewhere, and retrieves one of the bags he has to give away.
he rushes so quickly for the door that he nearly skids and falls, but he saves it, swings the door open, and looks both ways. he spots somin at the very end of the hallway (thank goodness again) and he practically sprints toward her retreating figure.
“moon somin!” he hollers, and when he has her attention again, he throws the candy bag in his hands in her direction with a grin. “what’s the phrase, uh, give and you shall receive? i don’t know if that’s it, but…take it anyway!”
the last thing she expects after she’s yeeted a bag of candy at indy is to hear her full name being yelled after her and she whips around when she hears it, watching as said person comes barreling towards her at top speed. she’s not sure what compels her to just stand there but that’s literally what she does. stands there as she waits for him to reach her, not sure what he wanted.
the bag that comes hurtling in her direction too is something unexpected but she can’t help the grin that appears on her lips when she catches it, eyeing it quietly before stuffing it into her bag carefully, not wanting to be caught with it in her hands because that would be very suspicious. “thanks?” somin calls back, looking amused because it had been clearly a split second decision for him to come running after her. she doesn’t mind though, because that just means more candy for her, and she waves as he heads back to practice before she also goes back to her own.
