Supervisor is on my last nerve. When coworker was on lunch today Supervisor of course checked out the footage for the weekend as she asked CW when she got back what happened Friday. I say "of course" as she has been doing this every week, I assume to catch us doing (or not doing)stuff.
Where my driveway was pretty well snow from the previous day's storm I opted to bring my lunch with me Friday as I didn't feel like climbing up and then back down my long, steep driveway. Because of this I let CW have a longer lunch break since I was not leaving the office.
Supervisor herself has done this (ie didn't go home for lunch and let other person have a longer break) so I thought it was okay. And in all honesty she probably wouldn't have cared much if it had been the other way around but for some reason she has a massive grudge against CW and has been making her life miserable. (Trouble is she's been sneaky about it so if CW complains to HR its like a she said/they said situation.)
I just feel bad as CW is in trouble over something I let her do. I'm going to get reamed out too but it was my suggestion. Sigh.
I just really wish we could do something about Supe. but she's made it so we can't plus she has all the upper management thinking she's so wonderful. Gag.
So tired.
It started last weekend with bad air quality and several allergy inducing events and by Tuesday it had gone into a chest cold. I did see the doctor and thankfully it is not anything major like Covid or pneumonia but my chest hurts from coughing and I am just so tired.
Woof. The plow guys continue to under perform; I had to drive on the left side of the road a good chunk of the way to get to work at 6am and they hadn’t thrown down any sand/salt. The plow came down the ferry road right before the first boat (but didn’t do the causeway) and then NOTHING until the second boat and it wasn’t even the plow crew! It was the guy who takes care of the parking lot and the ferry queue who actually plowed the causeway and cleared the ferry road itself because obviously it needed to be done.
Plow crew this year SUCKS.
So this summer is going to be a shit show. Our intermittent’s (substitute’s) husband has stage 3 cancer and will be having chemo and radiation with the latter being for 6-8 weeks. She’s the only one that can take him to his appointments so she won’t be available weekdays (and probably not weekends as she’s going to be wiped out going off 5 days a week), This would not be such a problem except our seasonal has copped out! We had an issue with him last year as he dislikes our supervisor (they both applied for the position and he’s pissed he didn’t get it). We knew something was up when his house went up for sale but it wasn’t until it sold that we started to wonder if he WAS coming back. There are no places, really, to rent as most rents are summer weekly rentals and they are EXPENSIVE and our one hotel (with 4 rooms) isn’t cheap and usually full. We can go through a temp agency and I offered to fill in days (it means going into overtime which DOT doesn’t like but you gotta do what you gotta do) but whew; this is not great timing!

So we’re babysitting again today. Pregnant Sister has a doctor’s appt and we ended up with both girls and the dog. Oldest had slept over last night so we would have had her, youngest found out and begged to come over (she’s too little still to sleep over) and since we have both we have dog too (Maple can’t be home alone). Cousin’s daughter was supposed to have gone off with her grandma to get groceries but found out nieces will be here and begged to come too. I love them dearly but I need to clean and I have to go off tomorrow to get groceries which is an all day thing. Sigh. Maybe I should take Wednesday off...
Hmph. Not a great day today; first I missed out on a mom and baby MLP plush set and then the shield I bought for Daring Charming arrived chipped. The package arrived with that hole in it (the rip lines leading outwards are from where I opened it) and that’s where the arm holder part was. But oh no, that couldn’t have been the part that broke, had to be the side and the pieces are *just* warped enough I can’t glue them back. Sigh. Tomorrow is another day, maybe I can heat them and get them to fit again. I messaged the seller about it and they refunded half what I paid. (I didn’t ask, they just did) so there is that.
