Leia is the first woman Jay ever fell in love with and had a real connection. Before her, he was only ever having casual hookups and would tell girls he loved them to get sex. But with Leia, Jay doesn’t pressure her and asks if she’s sure about it. Because he truly loves and respects her and wants it to happen on her terms.

Jay is the first man Leia ever dated and fell in love with. Before him, Leia had never gone out with anyone or had any relationship experience. The most she ever had was that one kiss, in which Jake didn’t even consent and looked very shocked. Jay understands that and gives her that free space with love with understanding, which in turns makes Leia feel more secure and confident in her relationship.

I don’t condone Laurie forcing herself on Kelso at all. He said “no” several times and she should’ve left it at that. I don’t want to come off as if I condone sexual assault, which I don’t. But it’s irritating that Kelso gets to stay in the gang and be all buddy-buddy and sympathized with because of his “good” traits but Laurie is this “evil bitch”.

Kelso would pressure Jackie into sex (Jackie would literally say that she’d give in just to “shut him up”), grope Donna, cheat on Jackie several times, and is just an overall entitled asshole. But he’s allowed to be sympathetic and have his “good” traits be expressed in a way Laurie didn’t. He was allowed to have a growth arc in s6-7 but Laurie’s in s5 had to be cut short. The gang would be fine having Kelso and Fez around and the writers would try to give them qualities to make them “likable” and “sympathetic”.

-After the roof incident, Donna sends her back to Chicago for good. They almost rarely come back to Point Place (almost never even). She is also forced to go to private school there. And she also loses contact with the gang forever. She doesn't make a lot of friends at private school in Chicago.

-Gwen and Cole end up breaking up, and the former ends up "keeping her mind and heart closed". She starts having meaningless one night stands, even going as far as have one with Jay.

-Nate and Nikki are in this on and off relationship where they do nothing but fight and have sex. Their whole energies just bring down the gang's mood. Eventually Nikki ends up cheating on Nate with Jay, leading to the end of Jay and Nate's friendship and the permanent demise of Niknate.

-Jay goes back to being a player, like I said in my Nikki post. He ends up sleeping with both Nikki and Gwen at the same time, telling them both "i love you" to get them to sleep with him. It doesn’t work at first, but he eventually wears them both down.

-Nate ends up alone for a while after relationship before getting back together with Betsy (just like Nikki's worst nightmare), who basically controls what he wears, who he sees, and even what he eats. The only girls Nate is allowed to be around alone are his sister and Sarah.

Jay: At this point, it’s very obvious that they’re my otp. The ‘90s version of E/D in many ways. The only gripe I have with them is that Leia and Jay had only met in the summer of ‘95, when it would’ve made more sense for them to have known each other since childhood.

Gwen: I adore my babies, platonic or romantic. They have great chemistry, cute moments, and a very fun dynamic. Are very much ‘90s E/D as wel: next door neighbors, besties to lovers excellence, Gwen helping Leia get out her shell like Donna did for Eric. Also: THEY WROTE THEIR NAMES ON THE WATER TOWER FFS.

Nikki: I’m very into them as a qpr but they’d be a cute couple. It’d be funny if Nikki and Leia kicked Nate to the curb and dated each other. I really liked their scenes in Summer Storm, the way Nikki was giving Leia guidance <3

Nate: It’s obvious that I don’t like them and I’ve explained why. They seem very plot device like to me and there for drama. Just because they have similar wants in a relationship doesn’t mean they’ll be a good couple. Also NIKKI GARCIA DESERVES BETTER THAN THIS SHIT.
