ooo gonna talk about my ocs wolfy and popsocket oooooo.
iâm a little obsessed with them lately. theyâre these creatures from my world called âDimensi,â which are people who got trapped in the space between dimensions. They canât survive in there, unfortunately, so they become undead and survive from rifts that get put inside of them from the Interdimensional Goddess, and then she pushes them back out into a world (not always the correct one). Being in the space between dimensions makes you look weird (hence Popsocketâs appearance. Wolfy looks weirder than you can see, but heâs also super tall, standing at 7â5), it makes most people lose a lot, if not all their memories, and can mess with motor skills and speech. Two people who got trapped at the same time and have been there for the same amount of time can be affected vastly differently too, I donât have any specific examples of that but Wolfy was trapped a lot longer than Popsocket, but obviously Pop looks considerably weirder!
These two are best friends!!! They were pushed out of the space between dimensions together and, not knowing anything about themselves, assumed they had some sort of connection in life! They also have a mind-link, meaning they can hear each otherâs thoughts! So they stuck together because they MUST have known each other before, right? Well, they didnât. In fact, Wolfy was from a completely different world! But that doesnât matter, because here and now they love and care about each other.
Wolfy is generally cheerful but also like. SUUUUUPER selective of who heâll talk to because most people he doesnât see as good enough and he doesnât know whether or not youâre a danger, so heâd rather act cold to someone new until theyâve proved themself to be good enough, in his mind. Heâs generally kinda protective of Popsocket, and kinda anxious without them. Heâs also in general anxious about new places, because what if this place is dangerous? So heâd much rather stay put in a spot that he knows is safe, and then also if there IS a danger, heâs already familiar with the area to be able to get away from it. This comes from the fact that his home world was set during the apocalypse! And he had a younger sister who he took it upon himself to keep safe! And even though he doesnât remember any of that even remotely, heâs still weary. He also thinks heâs a wolf, and will howl and growl and bark. Hence the name and mask (He got that BECAUSE of how he acts, as a gift from Popsocket). He loves climbing and animals, and he loves play fighting and hunting. I think he would also enjoy finding cool rocks and crystals, but I think more often than not he wouldnât keep them. Heâd show them off, and then leave them at a beach or throw them back into the woods, or just somewhere that someone else can find and appreciate it. He also has a hairpin I forget to draw him with, which he got from his sister
Popsocket is pretty quiet, kinda timid. Theyâre more open to talking to people than Wolfy is, so they act as his voice if he has a question but doesnât like/know someone yet. They also get nervous in new places and situations, BUT they really like traveling! They do it in hopes theyâll see something or someone thatâll spark a memory and maybe theyâll remember who they are. Their anxiety isnât rooted in an apocalyptic past though, theyâre just on the nervous-er side. Their desire for adventure comes from the fact that in life they COULDNâT travel, not only were they in a cult, but they were stuck on a floating country, because there wasnât ways to easily get up or down yet, unless you were a shapeshifter. Unlike Wolfy, this is where Popsocketâs similarities to themself in life end! They were a much different, worse person! However, to be fair, they WERE being influenced by the cult they grew up in and briefly led. They love drawing, and collecting souvenirs in the forms of postcards and stamps, and they enjoy journaling about their day. They love skirts too, and their bow, and a hairpin i constantly forget to draw them with⌠They also hate mirrors with a passion because they fell into a magic one, which is how they got Dimensiâd!!! Not that they remember that.
When theyâre together, alone, I think theyâre more likely to talk outloud together! Because together they are safe and comfortable. I think they have a shared enjoyment of the rain so theyâll go out and sit or dance or run around in it. They also celebrate their birthday at the same time, because even though they donât know when their birthdays are, they know thatâs the first day they can remember! I donât think things are always great between them, though, because of the fact Wolfy doesnât like traveling and Popsocket does. They can split up and both be more anxious, or Wolfy can begrudgingly go with and theyâre STILL both anxious because Wolfy Doesnât Like Travel and the mind-link ALSO means they can feel each otherâs emotions, so if one of them is angry or sad or nervous, so is the other, but less because itâs not their emotions. With effort, they CAN block each other out, but Wolfy DEFINITELY doesnât want Popsocket to in the situation theyâre split up, because he wants to be able to check in on them regularly, and while that can sometimes be overbearing to Popsocket, they donât want to block him out because theyâd feel bad about making him more anxious, or just briefly severing the tie at all for any reason because theyâve always been together, but they donât want to be restricted to the same place all the time, or have to travel on Wolfyâs terms.
Anyway, RAUUUGHHHHH I LOVE MY OCS!!!! THESE GUYS MAKE ME CRAZY!!!!!! And there is so much more I could say because Iâve got so many ocs >:3
One more fun fact about them is theyâre both ocs whose in-world birthdays are the same as their real birthdays! Popsocket was made January 16th, 2021 after I had the idea for their character in the middle of the night and HAD to write it down lest i forget, and Wolfy was made January 4th, 2024 because I had a design concept!
