As outright embarrassing as some of the holiday party misadventures have been, Hellaina has to admit that there’s something significantly more enjoyable in the staff parties in Hell than there ever had been in life. Better company too.

She takes a sip of her drink, stepping from the conversation she’s been having, as it trailed away. It hadn’t exactly been invigorating before that.

i'm going to take ' speaks to me ' in a different direction this time and talk about three writers whose writing deeply inspires me: @voxistem @bitchfluencer & @toxitrosia. the world that's been built between them is nothing short of astounding, with such intricate and well thought-out lore, that every time i'm struck with this sense of god i WISH i'd come up with that but also not at all because then i wouldn't get to read it, and getting to read it all is my absolute pleasure every time i log on.

@lophiiscientia & @shokwav for this one! the way marble captures baxter is just fantastic. we don't see a lot of him in canon but we see just enough to have an idea of his voice and personality and who he is, and all marble's hc posts just fit and expand on him so beautifully. and ghost's vox analyses, holy shit. i'm in awe of how well they can get into vox's head, his god complex, his whole mentality. it's so rich and detailed, you'd best believe i'm eating up every post of hers i see.

... 🤍 a writer i enjoy seeing on my dash even if we don't write

everyone i haven't written with yet because i'm so bad for following people and then never actually reaching out to do anything. but i am gonna give a particular shoutout to @cervile & @paymons because they were the first ones i thought of for this and two people whose writing i can never get enough of when i see it. i'm 1000% down to write but will keep loving everything you put out there even if we don't.

... 🧡 a writer whose friendship i value a lot.

@vindictisangelus & @roseburied, love y'all forever, will follow you forever, even if you're both objectively wrong about which one is the cooler bird. we've all been writing together for just about as long as i've been rping on tumblr not counting whatever the fuck i was doing here in high school and i'm so grateful that i still get to write and talk with you both! it wouldn't be the same here without either one of you.

Pinch Perrada laced his pointed, magenta-red fingers in front of his face, feeling pleased that Vesper arrived on time. Pinch was an Imp of even more unpredictable behavior than usual for his kind.

He could be composed. He could be clever. He could sound intelligent in one moment, then cursing up a storm in the next. He could be brave, or he could be cowardly; it wasn't uncommon for him to be spotted zooming away from an angry mob.

"Pleasure meeting with you, Vesper." The way Pinch said her name was odd, as if tasting it, savoring the final flavor on his tongue.

He cleared his throat, his swaying tail betraying some of the nerves he was currently feeling, the thick spade disturbing neglected dust upon the floor of his haphazard office.

I WILL CRY??? this coming from the writer of one of my favourite ocs??? making her feel real and likable despite her flaws is what i'm trying to do at the end of the day and i'm always happy when that comes through! i hope you know i feel the same way about vesper, i love every new tidbit we learn about her and how real she feels. 100% would also fight anyone for her, not that i think she'd need me to.
