There’s definite appeal there, I agree. But I’m eternally wary of Supergirl falling into the same trap as Arrow, where everyone is a vigilante and knows super secret kung fu styles and –PARKOUR!– and everybody is a goddamn action hero. 

There are other kinds of heroes, and I like that Lena has so far remained largely independent of Supergirl’s trials and tribulations. 

That said, there are ways they could still maintain that independence while still giving Lena powers. One way is to give Lena conditional powers– powers that are only active under specific circumstances, or else exact a significant physical toll. Another option would be a passive power, such as precognition (but without any “dream energy” to weaponize), or regenerative powers. 

Thank goodness you said “best thing to happen in supergirl in three seasons that wasn’t gay” or else this conversation would be over lol 

I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the lexosuit so much. I don’t share your opinions or enthusiasm for it but I do hope to see it again in the future. 

Lena Luthor

+ The suit is part of her family legacy and as the only non mass murderer left in the family, she would be the only one of then that could be trusted with its possession.

- She doesn’t have much of a combat training to use it efficiently (devastating boxing hooks notwithstanding).

+ But it doesn’t matter because probably neither has Lillian, and yet the suit was enough to create headaches to our heroes.

+ Using something created to kill a Super, to save/help a Super would be thematically appropriate.

+ Probably the most likely to be capable to modify (improve) it for any necessity.

Alex Danvers

+ Already seen using some sort of combat exoskeleton (end of S1 start of S2).

+ Combat trained.

- Of my two candidates she would be the one that would benefit the less from it (give her a good armor and a big enough gun, and she is already ready to take down whatever danger could be in Kara’s way).

+ After Lillian arrest, the Lexosuit is probably in the DEO’s hands.

+ Winn could probably be good enough to modify it as to not negatively affect Supergirl with it’s Kryptonite if needed (and unless at that moment they are somewhat on opposing sides, he could still collaborate with Lena in that regards).
