I don’t know of any speculation or theories, but (SPOILER) when she’s destroyed by Pyrrha, there’s that cut to a guy watching the fight with white hair and a bald spot that kind of like...squeezes the arm of his chair. I have a pretty good feeling that faceless dude is probably her “father” and someone we’ll meet later on. 

I think Ironwood had something to do with her creation and he was clearly an important part of her...existence.
