“You don’t know how much this means to me.” Levi offered when he got the other back to his place, dim lighting broke up the darkness of the room as he flicked a switch and shrugged out of his peacoat. “Not a lot of people would sit and listen to a bunch of society types brag about how much money they’re donating for me.” He stepped in towards the other, hands moving towards the lapels of his date’s jacket, “You have to let me pay you back, maybe with a little interest. As an expression of my undying gratitude.”

The closest/laundry is actually more like closet/electrical panel/other maintenance shit--I ended up moving the laundry to the bathroom. Originally planned for there to be a hallway to the right of the front door where Feng Xin's room would be so that their spaces were super separated (like Feng Xin and Mu Qing are right now) but decided against it. Yes, there are windows in their rooms as well, I just forgot to add them y'all. Also those exterior stairs are drawn so wonky but you get the gist. I thought it'd make their coffee table a funky shape but legit I've actually just been imagining it was a regular old rectangle in the actual story lol

It's been a scorching hot couple of days in the heavenly realm, but a little heat is no match for general Nan Yang... right?

8. How slow is a slowburn?

Good question! For my own writing, it's apparently 40k words lmfaooo. But in all seriousness, if you take a fic of any length and pinpoint the halfway mark, I think a slowburn constitutes as any ship that doesn't sail until or after that halfway point. That's just my opinion tho

28. Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing?

Write what you know.

My best pieces have been ones where I'm intimately familiar with the content. If you're out of your depth when trying to create a scene because you just don't really know the situation, it's going to show. But if you're trying to write something you don't know very well, then you should do the research! And don't forget that asking people about their experiences is oftentimes a better way to learn about that experience than just reading about it.
