#levi bread

OMG. I have to make this recipe. I fully intend to print out this entire thread and put it into my cookbook as is.

I posted a thread the other week about Kevin Hearne, a physicist whose hobby it is to recreate ancient bread and beer recipes from ancient yeasts. He posted this, and I cannot wait to make it.

I have made Levi Bread before, and I’m pretty sure I’ve even posted about it on the site before, but after ten years and a million-plus words if I wanna repeat myself once in a while I’m gonna do it. I did make a slight alteration to the recipe and used slightly more diabetes-friendly whole wheat flour, and squeezed some orange juice into the mix as well, but otherwise the recipe is…

I am attempting to BAKE.

Traditionally this does NOT GO WELL. My last attempt involved not realizing the temperatures I was using were in Celsius.
