maybe a hot take but i think a lot of the people comparing scott cawthon to jkr don't really understand the extent of what jkr does and why she and her franchise is inherently dangerous. scott absolutely had (has) a specific agenda in his political donations and they doubtlessly caused harm, but he is not (can't stress this enough) a billionaire who has contributed significant money to actual legal legislation against a minority group, started organizations specifically to eradicate that minority group, become one of the faces of the movement against that minority group, and centered his franchise and its profits around eradicating that minority group. u can compare them if u want but pretending jkr is on the same level as the average right wing franchise owner dilutes what makes her and hp so dangerous. you can tolerate someone playing secret of the pocket pussy or whatever, but you should never tolerate a HP fan
