The United States Post Office is running out of money, and that’s not it’s own fault. The Post office is forced (by republicans) to pay retirement funds for workers who haven’t even been hired yet, and Trump specifically said he’d veto any bill that would help the post office.

There are multiple reasons for this, among them, the fact That republicans hate a government program that works well and for cheaply. They want it to cost $15.00 to mail a letter via Fed-Ex, the USPS can do it for a few cents.

However, the biggest reason of all is that the USPS is how many people are going to vote by mail in the upcoming election, and the Republican Party is disgusted by mail voting. This is not because, as they claim, mail voting leads to voter fraud. Voter fraud is almost nonexistent (and is mostly done by republicans.)

It is because when it gets easier to vote, Republicans do poorly, because they are terrible. This is just the latest  in their long history of voter suppression.

That said, you can help: In order to boost funding for the Post Office, Buy stamps. Buy a lot of them, if you can. Stamps are one of the main ways the post office supports itself, and by buying stamps, you can help them last through November.

I intend to buy $100 worth of stamps as soon as my relief check comes in.
