“kenma,” she whined, making him cringe, “c’mon you need someone who can treat you well.”

he narrows his eyes, pulling his gaze from his video game to glare are her, “_____ does treat me well.”

“not as well as i can,” she purrs, sliding up closer to him.

he cringes, backing away as he shakes his head. before he can respond, he sees you walking down the hall, only to pause when you see how close she is to him. he shoots you a look that’s just begging for help.

“what’s going on?” you asked, carefully approaching your boyfriend.

“____!” your friend grins fakely, “i was just talking to kenma about this new video game!”

you look at the screen and frown, “that’s not new. kenma’s played that thing like a hundred times...what’s going on.”

your friends smile vanishes quickly and she clicks her tongue, looking at kenma as if he’ll help her.

he shakes his head, pocketing his device in favor of taking your hand. you’re surprised by the outward gesture but smile nonetheless, “let’s go, i want you to come over today.”

you beam and nod, letting him tug you away from where your friend was now fuming. he casts a glare over his shoulder, hoping she’ll take the hint that he’ll never want her. he only wants you.

≻ no matter how many times he had avoided her, she always somehow found him again ≻ he thought she was super weird ≻ he was even as mean as possible to her ≻ and she wouldn’t take a hint. ≻ “what is wrong with you?” he scoffs, rolling her eyes as he steps away from her, “do you have a crush on me or something?” ≻ the words were meant to be shaming and condescending but ≻ when he saw her cheeks flush red, he scoffed in disgust. ≻ “how pathetic.”

“don’t you think i’m prettier though?” she asks, twirling her hair on her fingers.

“not really,” he replies bluntly, “if i thought you were better, wouldn’t it make sense that i would have chosen you already?”

“well i--”

“yet here i am telling you no,” he snaps, “the only thing you could possibly be better than her at is being stupid.”

she gasps, offended, which confuses him because that’s literally who he is. he’s always been insulting and rude, sometimes even to you (although to a less mean degree and more teasing.)

“your little attempt to entice me into liking you is nothing short of disgusting and i’m gonna make sure everyone knows just what kind of pathetic little snake you are,” he chuckles, “you’re not really even a snake...more of a worm.”

“kei!” you call from down the hall, running towards him with a smile, “i got a 100 on the test you helped me study for!”

he smiles, turning his back on your friend, who is close to crying. but you don’t notice, too wrapped up in feeling your boyfriend hug you proudly.

≻ he really hadn’t thought much of it when your friend invited him to hang out ≻ tbh he just thought maybe she had something to tell him regarding you ≻ but when she started acting a little flirty ≻ he was like a confused puppy like ???? ≻ wyd lmao ≻ he won’t really take the hint until she spells it out for him ≻ and then he’s like ≻ oh....OH..... ≻ no.

“huh?” he cocks his head to the side, looking down at her, “you like me? but...i’m dating your friend.”

“well i know but...” she bites her lip, “i just think you’re really cool lev. and if you...wanted to you know...date me...i’d be okay with that.”

“you’d be okay with me cheating with you?” he asks dumbly, not understanding how she could find any of this acceptable.

“well not exactly...you could leave her for me, you know?” she looks up at him through thick lashes, only to see he wasn’t even looking at her.

“_____! hey baby!” he bypasses her, making her scoff in irritation.

you smile and let him lift you up to spin you around in a quick hug, a beaming grin on his face, “what’re you two up to, lev?”

“oh it was really weird,” he begins explaining, “she asked me to talk to her and i thought she wanted to do something because your birthdays coming up but then she started talking about if i would cheat on you with her which is really gross and i was going to tell her no but then you showed up so i guess it doesn’t really matter now because you’re here and that’s all i want!”

you blink owlishly at your boyfriend before moving your gaze to your backstabbing friend, frowning, “is that so? well...i guess she’ll see why i’m better than her now, hm?”

“you were better than her before anyway,” lev beams taking your hand, “c’mon let’s go get something to eat.”

≻ wants u to be affectionate with him and him only. ≻ as soon as you’re affectionate with someone else ≻ he starts pouting and complaining ≻ yaku has to explain that you’re not dating so lev doesn’t have a right to be jealous ≻ but that doesn’t stop lev from intervening whenever he gets the chance ≻ you’re clinging onto your friend ≻ here comes lev, waving happily to take away all your attention ≻ in all honesty he’s not subtle about his crush ≻ 10/10 you will figure it out ≻ he likes it best when you let him  backhug you ≻ it may seem like he’s teasing you and using you as a rest for his tall height ≻ but he’s actually just being genuinely affectionate with you ≻ he’s just clumsy about it!!! ≻ overall, he’ll be jealous over an affectionate crush
