When you find out that your first love/favorite lesson horse is still alive and in his mid 30s 😍😍😍😍 Words cannot even begin to describe how much I loved and still love this horse. Truman was the first horse that I really synced and harmonized with. I remember us cantering around and our breathing would be exactly the same. And when we jumped we flew in perfect harmony. He taught me so much as a rider and as a person. I'm convinced that this horse saved my life. I was going through a very rough patch and one night I was grooming him and he wrapped his head and neck around me and pulled me close to his chest. It was like he was saying "Everything is going to be ok. I'm here." Truman was never a snuggly horse. He was very sensitive and didn't always like being groomed due to his thin skin. So him showing that to me meant so much. It fills my heart with joy to know that he is still alive and kicking when for years I had assumed he had already passed on.
