OC Interaction: Leslee & Castrall | Heart-Stop-Dream | by xKhaoticxWolfx (2023)

The alarm went off again. Leslee was pretty sure she turned it off the last two times it went off. Her arm slid from under the blankets and felt around on the nearby desk. Sleeping pills and an empty plastic cup fell off in her search to stop the annoying buzzing. Instead the sound traveled to the floor with a ‘thud’. She groaned and quickly tossed the thick fabric away from her face to bend off the bed and grab it. She swiped the cellphone screen, finally turning it off. 7:12 PM the clock read. She collapsed her head back onto the pillow while clutching her phone. She didn’t go anywhere today, didn’t even attempt to get out of the bed. Her stomach reminded her by growling that she was still human and needed to get up at some point. But she wanted to hurt. She was already hurting, but she thought if she could hurt herself this pain could be a new replacement.
But deep down, she knew it wouldn’t be. Her love was gone. She replayed the scenario of her and her lover, Inca, drinking the Immortality Serum they confiscated from the vampires. How Inca was the definition of power as he fought valiantly through them and Leslee helped with her witch-like prowess. Her spells and chants confused, assaulted, and debuffed the vampires’ minds. She had trained so long and hard to try and keep up with the Great Werewolf Inca. His packmates would joke that the Prophets talked about a Herculean Werewolf who would lead them out of the darkness and back into the human world. Inca took it to heart. He felt he was the one.
They drank the Serum. Fulfilling Inca’s dream. When they suddenly blacked out at the candle lit table. Leslee awoke to find the candle had burned out, along with Inca’s heart. He was dead. How or why it happened was baffling. She couldn’t have accounted for this. She couldn’t take it. She wouldn’t come to terms that that was the truth. She tried to keep sleeping. Hoping to run her hands through his deep brown-colored fur again. To look into his golden eyes. To press her body against his ripping muscles and have him wrap her in his arms. That was where she desired to be right now. She was hoping that her dreams could get her there.
Tears began to stream down her face again. It had been nearly a week. She’s never cried so much.
Little did she know, she had a visitor every night this week.
Sitting on a branch of a tree not too far from her home, Castrall, one of the vampires from the Mansion she invaded for the Serum, peered quietly at her through her window. His face, usually neutral so that you could never tell what he was feeling or thinking, actually showed a little pang of dissatisfaction. He had watched her cry a number of times. She hadn’t moved terribly far from the bed this whole week, and even as a vampire, whom many consider heartless killers, was beginning to grow concerned. That was because of his own reasons. He was on guard duty from the Head of the Household, but knew that he was taking a risk by asking himself extra questions. Questions that his family wouldn’t approve of. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He followed the tears on her reddened face. He envied her tears. That she was still able to do that…cry.
