“No, please. Please don’t do this to me, to you, to us”
“But you’re not listening, I am doing this for us. We need space, we’re already so far apart; you just can’t see it.” The blonde stood from the park bench, her skirt swirling about her thighs, much like the sheets and hands that had caressed them so lovingly earlier.
“No.” The brunette gripped her wrist before she could leave her again, pulling her into her warm embrace. “I won’t let you leave me because you’re scared. I won’t let you ruin yourself, not like all those before. I’m sticking around”
“Eliza, you need to wake up." the world shook and began to crumble around her. The brunette felt warm soft lips pressed on hers, and fingers gently stroking their way through her tousled locks.
She slowly cracked opened her bronze eyes finding azure ones staring intently down into them. She rolled towards them, wrapping an arm around their owners’ waist before telling her blonde haired girlfriend:
“Amelia” she grumbled “If it’s not past noon, then no- just no.”
“You were shaking and crying out, I was worried”
“I’m okay now” Eliza paused before looking over at her woman, her world. “I really love you. Like there are 26 letters in the alphabet, and I couldn’t possibly string them together into a sentence to tell you how much I want to keep you in my arms and by my side forever and never let you go”
Amelia snuggled down with her girlfriend, she felt the same, and tried on a number of words to try and articulate it, but none could come close to what she felt; so she settled for comfortable silence as Eliza caressed the shaved side of her head with her finger tips. She thought of something, and it made the blonde giggle.
“Not even to go to the bathroom?”
Eliza was just about to ask what thought had invaded her girl’s mind to make her create the beautiful tinkling sound of her giggle.
“Not even then” The brunette stated, holding her even tighter than before, kissing the top of her head, down the tip of her nose, to connect her lips with hers. “Now, go to sleep. I want you well rested for tomorrow.”
