āPaimon thought you said that Tone-deaf bard was going to meet us here?ā Paimon hovered by the statue of the Seven located beneath the large tree at Windrise.
āHe said he would be here,ā Aether replied, his gaze searching the tree branches above for any signs of the bard. He carried on the crook of his arm a basket of freshly picked apples as a treat for Venti for when they were to reunite, which was supposed to be around this time. However, Venti was nowhere to be seen. āMaybe he took a detour at the tavern on his way here?ā
āUgh, if thatās the case, we will be here waiting all day!ā Paimon complained, hovering down and reaching for an apple inside the basket. Aether quickly pulled the basket from the small fairyās reach.
āPaimon, these are for Venti!ā he chided.
āHeās not even here! And is Paimon supposed to believe that heās going to eat that entire basket of apples himself?ā
āDid you just meet Venti?ā Aether raised a brow, leading to Paimon scoffing in defeat. Both knew fully well that when it came to apples, Venti was almost as big of a bottomless pit as Paimon.
āPaimon wishes he would hurry up already!ā
āRelax, Paimon. Letās just take a seat and wait, Iām sure he wonāt be long.ā Aether had already begun to lay out the small blanket for them to sit upon, a nice purchase from their trip to Sumeru, and gently placed the basket down next to it. āBesides, itās such a nice day today.ā
āYeah, guess youāre right,ā Paimon took a seat down beside Aether. āPaimon missed the nice breezes in Mondstadt. Not too hot and sticky, not too rainy, and the wind doesnāt blow you around too much.ā
Maybe it was the wording, but Aether couldnāt help but chuckle at her words. He laid his head back onto his hands and looked up to the blue sky peeking through the branches of the tree and sighed happily.
He enjoyed moments like this, no commissions, no monsters attacking, no evil Gods threatening the livelihood of the land. Just him, Paimon, and the blissful relaxation of the pleasant breeze.
Which, speaking of, noticeably changed. Ā
āHm?ā Aether sat up and looked out ahead to see if Venti had suddenly showed up. But when he saw no sign of the bard ahead, he simply shrugged and laid back down in his comfortable position. As he did so, he was greeted with a pair of familiar aqua green eyes staring down into his golden ones. āWAH!ā
Aether startled so badly that he jolted upwards, almost headbutting the culprit in the process but it was swiftly dodged with bright laughter. Paimon also shrieked by the sudden outburst from Aether, and her small arms flailed in panic.
āHello there!ā Venti greeted cheerfully, acting almost as if he didnāt just give his friends a heart attack.
āYou Tone-deaf bard!ā Paimon scolded, her foot stomping the air. āYou nearly scared us to death!ā
āMy bad,ā Venti smiled, his tone showing no sincerity of his apology. He took a seat beside Aether and got himself comfortable. āItās good to see you again!ā
Aether, who had his hand resting on his chest still, gave a smile to his old friend. āItās good to see you too, Venti.ā
āAnd what took you so long to get here?ā Paimon asked, her arms crossed. Aether nudged her with his elbow to try and reflect on her tone which Venti took note of and giggled.
āMy apologies. I was caught up with our dear Sister Rosaria who offered me some wine from the tavern. Fortunately, Master Diluc wasnāt around, so I had to take the opportunity,ā Venti explained, noting Paimonās eye roll.
āPaimon knew it.ā
āEhe~ā
āHere, Venti,ā Aether thought it best to change the subject before Paimon got angry and held out his hand to the basket of apples that sat neatly beside them. āWe picked these for you.ā
Ventiās eyes lit up at the sight of the delicious looking fruit and wasted no precious seconds in taking one from the basket. He bit down on the apple with a content hum, pleased noises emitting from him as he chowed down.
āDelicious!ā Venti said through his chewing, his head lowering to rest onto Aetherās thighs. The traveller was caught off guard by the sudden action, but he allowed it. Venti looked up towards Aether as he continued to eat. āI can only imagine the amount of stories you have to share since our last encounter.ā
āOh, yeah,ā Aether chuckled. āWhere do I even begin?ā
Venti laughed along with his chuckle. āMy brave warrior, always there to help those in need. I trust the winds have blessed your journey?ā
āMhm. Just like you said.ā
āIām glad. I do wish I could do more to help with your journey,ā Ventiās tone was softer than usual. āBut alas, this Tone-deaf bard can only offer you the finest music instead.ā
āHmph! How is that supposed to help us?ā Paimon scoffed and received a playful boop from Ventiās foot from his position on Aetherās lap.
āMusic can help plenty, actually.ā
āIf weāre going against an enemy, are we supposed to play it a lullaby!?ā Paimon started to grow irritated at the amount of boops Ventiās foot was giving her. āStop that!ā
When Venti only laughed and kept up his mischievous antics, Paimon resorted to other methods. With a small growl, she yanked off Ventiās shoe and began to scribble her small fingers over his tights covered sole.
āEhehehe! Hehehey!ā Venti giggled and pulled his foot away from her, but she only chased after and continued to tickle his foot. āStohohop thahat!ā
āOh, no! First you make Paimon wait, not even offering to share your apples, and then you kick Paimon!? Youāre getting what you deserve!ā
āYou never ahahasked about the apples!ā Venti giggled and squirmed in Aetherās lap, who was in fact the one guilty for denying Paimon an apple, but he kept quiet. There was something endearing about seeing these two play like this, so much so that Aether decided to join in. āAHAHACK! Nohohot you too!ā
Aetherās fingers dug into Ventiās ribs; the higher ones not covered by his corset. The bard immediately fell back against Aether and squirmed as the two tickled him.
āYeah, get him, Aether!ā Paimon cheered, both laughing along with the bard, whose laughter was a bright as the sun above them.
āMehehercy!ā Venti begged, his efforts to squirm away foiled by Aether wrapping an arm around his frame to keep him steady.
āI had no idea Archons could be so ticklish,ā Aether teased, wiggling his fingers up into the bardās underarms.
āNAHAHAHA,ā Venti howled, his braids whipping side to side as he shook his head.
āMaybe itās just Venti,ā Paimon also teased. āNow we know his weakness, we can defeat the Anemo Archon!ā
āShh, Paimon not so loud,ā Aether hissed, reminding her of their surroundings. They may be tickling him to death right now, but he doesnāt want to go as far as revealing Ventiās identity to anyone.
āOh right,ā Paimon then paused her tickling to question the very giggly bard. āDo you surrender?ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
āI give up!ā his giggles whined, and with one last tickle to his ribs, Aether stopped tickling him, but kept hold of him. āSoho mehean.ā
āAre you okay?ā Aether chuckled, brushing some of Ventiās messed up hair to the side.
āIām hurt that you could be so mean to me!ā Venti pouted. āBut I suppose I can forgive you this one time. You did bring me apples, after all. Next time, however.ā
That mischievous and toothy grin worried Aether to the point he gulped. He doesnāt want to imagine what a vengeful Venti was like, and his nervous chuckle was enough to give that away.
The bard took another apple and passed it to Paimon, who squealed happily and began to eat. Venti then passed another to Aether and took another for himself.
āNow then, enlighten me with your tales. I want to hear all about them.ā
Yooo I'm still at a loss for the links and I'm sorry guys...I'm such a clutz, hehe~
āanyway never mind that let's go down a other roller coaster of tickles with genshin impact. I wanted to right for Kaveh but loss inspiration at the moment... so guys pls bear with me I'll be writing for sweet kaveh soon!
Warning spoilers for fontaine version 4.0!
Ps. Are my fics so bad that Lyney still refuses to come to me!!! I want him, so I'll keep on writing till he comes to me! Heck, his C3 sister is waiting too nyaaaahaaa~
Magic is a performance of art with picturesque illusions. Lyney often became overwhelmed by Caeser's joy in magic as he taught him several aspects of it. Indeed, he began to love it as well... especially playing tricks on others' minds as he played on.
It'd often the smaller ones thst excited kids more. Picking mora from their ears, picking flowers out from under his cloak, he could fo ample things just to get the audience happy.
It's usually days when the big magic tricks would begin, most unexpectedly he feels nervous though he had a knack for avoiding troublesome thoughts. Only Lynette read him like a book...
"Lyney!"
The sharp tone made him look up instantly, startled by his loss of awareness as he was sipping tea at his place with the traveller. Freminet was missing as always, being engrossed in diving - perhaps he ought to learn how to relax from him as well.
Ever since the trial, he became anxious about doing grand performances. He did perfect it at practice, but...he was worried if someone would sabotage his show again and create another victim...
Seeing Aether tilt his head in question to ask how he's feeling, Lyney chuckled sheepishly. "Oh dear, sorry to zone out like this... I may have been preoccupied by the fact that Paimon's not tired of floating around"
"Hey, Paimon's floating his similar to you guys walking, you know!"
Seeing her indignant reaction, he thought he had drawn their attention away from him. Still, Lynette didn't even make an attempt to sound accusing as she calmly said, "You're rigid, brother... perhaps you're nervous after all"
"W-what..? Surely you jest... I'm just more concerned about Paimon's logic to floating, " his face darkened as he lowered his head to the side to avoid any misgivings though the opposite just convoluted.
"Hey, you better not mess with Paimon!" Paimon, being Paimon, ignorantly grumbled in her chirpy voice, sounding offended presumably. Still, Aether could sense his offensive tactic being seen through. He might find it more intriguing to see past the crumbling defence he built desperately...
He shook his head now. "Lyney, we're close enough to see through your act..."
"Ah, drats..." he smiled weakly, seeing how his sister and the traveller were onto him. Keeping his tea cup to its original place on the table, he began to reason.
Now his solid defence has a crack...
"Alright, alright, guys... I am human, so I'll admit I am nervous after the water tank incident, " he offered. Now Lynette stated slight concern in her cool tone,"It's not the same trick... so why are you that worried?"
Sighing, he bit his lip, as if he got scolded by a teacher, "Making mistakes, I guess?"
Aether noticed his stiffness. He could tell the young magician must have been traumatised by the death of Cowell. Either way, they came here to cheer him on. He wondered if he could do anything for him... something to perk him up.
"Lyney" Aether began now gesturing to Paimon. "Allow Paimon to massage your shoulders... to make you relax... she's good at that"
Paimon gasped at Aether audacity to make a request unbeknowst to her, "You little! Of course, you put this on Paimon...!"
Regardless, her starry gaze genuinely desired to help, so she began "Alright Lyney let Paimon loosen you up"
Lyney anxiously waved a hand. "Oh n-no need... It's not really necessary... I really don't have stiff shoulders..."
(Cute...)
Aether rolling his eyes said, "Come on Lyney, no more secrets its obvious they are stiff..."
Before Lyney could evade the offer, Paimon was already behind him. "Relaaax, Paimon is an expert masseur. She can make you lose your fears in a snap!" She removed the pegged Cape so easily, and began to descend.
Until he staggered away, immediately stiffened by her gentle fingers reaching for his shoulders.
"D-dont Paimon... its not necessary"
She couldn't even touch him when he slid off from the couch only to stand and face her, Paimon pouted "Awww but can't you trust Paimon?"
"I...uh... It's not t-trust..."
Lynette, seeing the obvious issue and she finally pointed out, "It's not you, Paimon. He's got ticklish shoulders..."
"Lynette!!"
The casual reply made him blush but only to let Paimon's curious eyes widen in wonder. She waves her arms in frantic excitement "Nooo way Lyney! You didn't tell us your ticklish!"
Extremely nervous, he lowered his hat to hide the blush "A-Arent we all Paimon...?"
Most of Paimon's giggled converted to menacing titters as she wiggled her fingers. "So come here and let Paimon make you relax in a better way"
He had not expected this situation to collapse on him like this. He backed a little too far to bump into a seated Aether's knees and fell, half on his lap.
"Oh dear my apologihihihiies -Wahahait!" He struggled to sit up and grab Aether's sneaking fingers prodding his sides.
His squeaks contagiously threatened to leave his lips as Aether was mischievous as well.
"Are the fatuus this weak to tickling? I must say that's a bit disadvantageous"
Paimon, floating towards Lyney's upper body, began to perform her special tickly massage on his shoulders "Waiit for Paimon Aether, she wants to tickle him too!"
"Ahahha guys plehehehease" he curled now bur Aether grabbed his hips and snickered at the stream of loud and sweet giggles, "as I was saying... we could make you spill any little secret from the house of the hearth right?"
"Ihihihin your dreheheeheams I'm nohohot thahahahat weheheheheak"
"Ahhh, tsk, tsk it's not about being weak... It's about how ticklish you are, " he taunted by kneading his ribs with pure intent to torture information out of him.
Poor Lyney, on the other hand, tried to roll to the ground, but Aether got up and pinned him further to the couch, now both of the ganging on him where he's cornered.
"Lynehehehehtte!" The twin sister peacefully finishes her tea before saying,"It's ironic how his worst spots are the most exposed areas. His armpits and thighs are pretty bad, you know"
Hearing this intel Paimon snickered "ehehehehe let Paimon excell her Paimonial wrath! Your armpits are Paimons now!!!" She charged in yo perfectly fit her small hands into his delicate armpits, she even blowed at his neck to make him squeal and hiccup into louder giggles and laughs.
"This was just to make you relax, so..." Aether teasingly swiped a finger over his thighs suddenly, making him shrill in shock and squeak, "Pleheheheease!"
"So no... at least not today, " he said this, and Paimon reluctantly backed off."That was for making fun of Paimon!"
Chuckling at her ridiculous high pitched complain Aether now cupped his cheeks to get a better look at his adorably blushing red face. "Teyvat to Lyney... you there~"
He still giggled as he said "Aaha yes, I must thank you, but... that was a bit much, wasn't it"
Meanwhile, Lynette coolly expressed, "Ignore him. He loves being tickled so you guys can knock yourselves out"
Lyney flustered now "Y-You can't just...!"
"Oh really?" Aether grabbed his shoulders now making him stiffen again "I thought I found a knot right here? Guess Paimon's masseur skills are still lacking"
"Hey!" One from Paimon.
"HEHehehey!" Another from a bewildered Lyney who giggled at the light touch now trying to move away.
"Let the magic begin!" Lynette smirked, joining the finale of wrecking her brother. None of them have the intention of letting Lyney go until he's cheered and satisfied.
Well... not that Lyney wanted it to stop... he liked this feeling...
Heya guy's! This is a headcannon I made into a fic after sharing it with Sinner! I had alot of fun screaming about this and overall just- yes, enjoy!
"Alast, travellers, for I have- AYE!?"
The ginger quickly folded inwards, cheeks brightening a pinkish tint, whilst Aether had poked the open slit that exposed his now defended tummy. "Oh? What's wrong? Did that tickle?" Lumine chorused, having come behind him out of nowhere, the ginger gaffawing as the male twin pounced, trying his best to pin down the Harbinger, "L-Luhumine! Aetheher! Please, dohon't!" Pleaded the taller, his facial features glimmering red, with a twitching smile taking over.
"Hm, I don't know, seems to me that you want this." Aether smiled, having the help of his sister to pin the Harbingers hands under his knee's. Noticing how screwed he was, Childe began to wriggle more, whilst helpless kicks and squeals came out. "Plehease!"
"We haven't even touched you yet!" The two chorused, chirping giggles at the now helpless Harbinger, a gentle fingertip tracing the rim of his exposed tummy from his shirt.
If thing's weren't worse then, now it truly was. He was trying to suck in his stomach, wriggle away, even tried squeezing at Aether's knee's to get him to budge, but no, he was screwed, and he knew that.
"Paimon says we try here!" The floating child said, a grin taking over as a single finger slid up ever so slowly up his tummy, making him sputter out more giggles as she came back up and down in a repetitive motion. "P-Pahahaimo-AGH! Wahait! Plehease! Thahat-! Thahats!" He struggled, torso quivering as Paimon continued, Lumine helping her brother and her's companion out by pulling the shirt up whenever Childe arched, making him shiver as the wind came rushing in and making him feel a slightly bit more sensitive.
"Plehease! Nohohot thehere!" Childe turned his head away, the teasing aw's from the three coming out as they heard him snort and squeal, kicking his arches against the ground slightly to relieve himself from such a ticklish stimulation.
His bubbly giggles soon cut to panicked yet excited squeals of choked laughter when Lumine tapped her finger's against his ribs, as if she was bored, yet the smirk told the difference, making him arch into it. Noticing this, Lumine tested out which set got the best reaction, before settling into drilling her thumbs between his lower ribs, causing the Harbinger to throw his head back in hysterics.
"Hmhm, how adorable." The crimson witch said outside, having peeked in on the chaos, before walking away with stride, the playful howls continuing for a few more minutes before they took it seriously.

ok so this is my first time writing for Genshin and while I canāt promise a constant outpour of Content for this fandom, I can promise Lee Venti because itās all I think about when Iām not knee-deep in IDV. please talk to me about lee venti... asks in my askbox asks in my askbox -
Venti is my Main so Iāve been using him religiously in Inazuma, and I couldnāt help thinking about how at-odds he and Baal would be given that their alignments are kind of opposites... So ofc he would be a little scared about being on her turf, given that sheās not afraid to kill any who oppose her. Thus, this fic was born! o/
-
"Call on me anytime," he'd said. "I'm always up for an adventure," he'd said! And, oh, sure, Venti had meant it at the time, because then, Lumine was just exploring Liyue. Peaceful, neighbourly Liyue, with adorably stoic Xiao and patient and fatherly Zhongli. Venti knew the country well, and was not afraid to visit Liyue with Lumine and Paimon, to be a second guide or helping hand if either of them needed it.
What he didn't mean was "Take me to Inazuma, you know, that land with the Lightning Archon that hates anything that could threaten her idea of Eternity so much she started stealing visions from her own people and locked down the country. Yeah, bring the God of Freedom to the literal most dangerous and restrictive country in Teyvat, why not!"
That's not what he meant. Yet here he was.
He tried to put on a brave face, and it was convincing enough for Lumine's new friends - and he did like them. He did! Inazuma had its own charm, and Venti would've been delighted to spend a few months visiting now that he was without a Gnosis, meeting the people and exploring the culture.
But there was the fact that the Raiden Shogun was really freaking scary. About three times he'd conjured fake visions for himself, only for them to be snatched up by her little samurai clique or whatever they were called now. Yeah, have fun with those, Rai. Wasn't like they had any power, anyway; eventually, he'd given up entirely on conjuring more, deeming it a waste of energy and focusing instead on avoiding his use of wind as much as possible in public spaces.
Which, in and of itself, was already difficult, given that with one laugh the breeze would change directions, or with a sneeze a few of Raiden's clouds from the tempest would blow in towards shore and slam Ritou with some harsh rainstorms. Whoops.
All in all, Venti really wanted to avoid drawing her attention to himself, because without his Gnosis, he couldn't trust her intentions. He barely knew her, at least not in the same way he knew the other Gods, and while the Tsaritsa and her cronies had wanted his power, they didn't want his life. That much he was grateful for.
With Raiden, and her want with eternal power, peace, life, and stability for Inazuma, he couldn't trust that she wouldn't take what little he had left. He didn't want to leave Zhongli as the last of the original Seven, and - more importantly - he wasn't ready to die just yet.
So to say that he was stressed would be a massive understatement.
Lumine, observant as ever, had picked up on this, and cornered him in the teahouse after a lunch with Ayaka and Thoma.
"If you want to go home -"
"No! I mean - kind of, but - ugghhh."
Lumine shook her head as Paimon glanced between the two of them cluelessly.
"If it was too much to ask of you to come here -"
"Of course it wasn't! I like travelling, I like you, I like travelling with you -"
"Uh, this is all flying over Paimon's head a little⦠Where is this coming from?"
At the fairy's high-pitched voice, both of them paused to glance at her, then looked back at each other.
Lumine gathered another breath.
"... Venti's been tense and nervous since we brought him here."
"Really? Paimon hadn't noticedā¦"
That much brought a smug little grin to the bard's face, despite his current deliberation.
"But why is the Tone-Deaf Bard so stressed?"
"Because, if you'll remember, Raiden doesn't like the idea of anything unforeseen and unpredictable interrupting her plans for Eternity."
"Oh⦠Oh! Paimon gets it now! The Tone-Deaf Bard is scared Raiden might send the Tenryou Commission to arrest him! Is that right?"
Both of them stared at him expectantly, and once again, Venti felt a twinge of discomfort at having been read like a book. Stillā¦
"If that's your final guess, my answer will be⦠Yes."
⦠He could get some contentment out of Paimon's irritated expression with his rhyme.
"And like I said," Lumine tried again, "I can take you back home if you want!"
"But I don't want to! I like seeing all this stuff - I'd never get to see it all on the mainland! I justā¦"
⦠Wow. He hated being speechless.
Lumine, for her part, crossed her arms and huffed, and Paimon mirrored her pose, bouncing in the air.
"It's not worth it if you're going to stress out this whole trip. So here's the deal; either you relax a little bit, and trust in our friends to keep you safe, or you get in the Serenitea Pot and I take you back to Monstadt."
Frustrated at her rationality, Venti whined.
"But Lumiiiiiineeeeeeā¦"
"Alright, that's it."
Whoops. One button too many this time, huh?
For once, the bard didn't entirely anticipate her attack, shouting in surprise as she tackled him to the tatami floor of the teahouse and roughly dug into his sides with a vengeance, earning a quite unholy shriek and peal of laughter for her efforts.
"Wait - waHAHAIT - LumEHEEHeene -!!"
He barked out an extra laugh as Paimon latched onto his calf like a toddler, putting her tiny, evil little raccoon-like hands to work on the softer skin under his knee without remorse. Figures. One could never trust a shortie.
"Y'know," The Traveller remarked, "I seem to recall this having a relaxing effect on you back in Monstadt, with Lisa and the Ragnvindr brothers - you remember, right, Paimon?"
"Mhm! This time, Paimon does remember," The little fairy nodded; "Then again, it's hard to forget something like that when Master Diluc and Kaeya actually work together to do the ticklingā¦"
At the reminder, almost comically, all three of them shuddered; Venti, a step ahead, tried a little harder to curl up, a new fear springing to mind.
"Plehease - plehehea -- the wihind, Lulu, I cahahan'tā¦!"
"Oh yeaaaaah," Lumine reacted tauntingly, "Wind activity would be real bad for you, huh? Well, all the more reason to hop in the pot and go homeā¦"
Venti tossed his head, scrunching up his face and struggling to rein it in - only for it all to go to shit when the Traveller latched her cruel hands on his hips and started kneading at the slight pudge there. He practically screamlaughed, partially in panic, as he felt his control slip, and tapped the floor rapidly.
"OHOKAHAHAY, PLEHE - RED, REHEHED, RED..!"
With those words, Lumine immediately stopped, and reached a hand back to get Paimon to lay off too. In the meantime, she gently rubbed the focal points of her attack, earning a few giggly twitches from Venti as he panted a little bit.
"So, what'll it be?"
"Ihi - hhah⦠I want to stay."
"So you'll chill out?"
"On one conditionā¦"
Lumine cocked a brow, and Venti grinned up at her, already almost recovered.
"Take me into the pot with you and finish what you started. I can't possibly relax like this, now, can I?"
"... Oh, my God. You're adorable. Deal. Paimon, will you stay here and keep watch? Let Ayaka and Thoma know the whole deal with the Serenitea Pot, and tell them we'll be out soon."
"Aww," Paimon pouted, "but Paimon wants to get the Tone-Deaf Bard good, too!"
"And Paimon will have her day," Lumine assured, smiling at the gigglefit her friend's words sent Venti into; "but Ayaka might worry if we disappear without a trace. Someone needs to explain things to her."
"Hmph⦠Fine, but Paimon better be included next time!"
"Of course she will be."
Lumine shot the fairy an assuring smile as she fished out the Serenitea Pot from her bag, and set it gently on the table before looking down at the bard once more.
"Ready?"
Grinning back at her, Venti set a hand on the tea pot, briefly comforted when she covered his with her own.
A/N: just played through the first quest of 1.6 and gotta say, i have millions of ideas running through my head so hereās one of many that iāll be posting tonight [ 1:05 am 06/09 for anyone whoās curious ] (or tomorrow, depending on how my writerās block is fufu) hope you enjoy !! this has slight spoilers (?) for the first quest ig, so play through it first if you want to !!
A/N: also, i use they/them pronouns for paimon because they have no gender (āpaimon is.. well, paimonā.) hope you donāt mind (also their voice actor is non-binary in case you didnāt know <3)
Blame It On The Paimon
Summary: Klee receives a letter that the Dodo-King will take away Dodoco if she doesnāt get to the .. the what? The Golden Apple Archipelago? Sounds like something made up - of course, thatās what Aether thought. But luckily, Paimon and Klee have a few tactics to .. er, *persuade* him to come.
everything that happened today was paimonās fault. as soon as they mentioned going to see klee, the girl they had met a long time ago when they were deciding who the strongest fighter of mondstadt was, aether got a terrible pit in his stomach. like he was going to have to do something for her that he would more or less have to refuse.
and it seems that his intuition was totally correct. as soon as they both stepped into the favonius office, the bubbly little girl gasped in surprise. bingo. the butterflies in his stomach were not going away, and he knew what was about to come next.
āmr. honorary knight! thank goodness klee found you! iāve got some terrible, terrible news...ā she shuffled in place, tears welling at the corners of her eyes as she held a piece of paper that was slightly crumpled now. āklee has to go somewhere very far, far away and.. she needs help!ā
but reluctantly, aether continued playing along. of course, he would love to help her out - there was nothing he wanted more to see a smile on her face. but with how many commissions had just came in.. he wondered if he had enough time to get them all done. time was a valuable thing. especially to someone on a very important journey.
he couldnāt go running around for everyone.
āwhat do you need help with?ā aether asked softly, bending down to level with her. the worry in her eyes could be seen clearly. what couldāve happened that got her this shaken up? āklee received a letter at her windowsill... it says that the dodo-king will take dodoco away if she doesnāt go to the ... the.. what does that say again?ā
paimon floated to the little girlās side, reading the paper from over her shoulder. āit says.. āthe golden apple archipelago.ā huh, thatās strange. iāve never heard of that before. have you?ā they asked, their high pitched voice echoing through the elegant halls. aether only shook his head, a surprised look on his face.
ā... klee, i hate to break it to you, but i donāt think thatās a real place. besides, even if it was, i donāt think i have enough time to help you. not with how many commissions just got posted. iām sorry. maybe master jean or.. lisa will help you with this quest?ā
kleeās eyes filled with terror. she shook her head rapidly as she quickly grabbed on to dodoco, her ābestestā friend (as she calls it), her voice cracking with every word. āno! please, you have to help klee! if you donāt help her, she.. she will lose dodoco! she doesnāt want to lose dodoco!!ā
aether felt really bad for turning her down, but itās what he had to do. āiām sorry.ā was all he said, but paimonās voice interjected.
āhey now! you canāt go and turn down klee like that! she really needs your help!ā they floated over to his shoulder, crossing their arms as their face contorted into a mixture of both disappointment and hurt. āmaster jean is always busy, and lisa.. never leaves the library! please, youāre the only one who can help klee!ā her voice was wrecked with sobs. jeez this was like bringing a sword to a gun fight. he just couldnāt win, could he?
āno. please understand klee that iām very busy, and i would love to help you. i just donāt have the time.. now, if youāll excuse me,ā aether turned around, finding himself toward the entrance, thoughts running through his mind. āi have to ... continue looking for my sister.ā
little did he know that they were planning something. they whispered back and forth, as if they were about to go on the field of a long and hard fought war. and he didnāt realize it, but it was a war. just one he didnāt expect in a long shot.
āpaimon, cāmon, letās go find.. w-wai.. huh?ā
ācharge!ā they both yelled at the same time as they ran straight into aether, knocking him down with how little he weighed. the little girl sat on top of him, acting as if she was riding a horse or whatever came to her imagination, and grinned. āmr. honorary knight! i will make you come to the islands with me!ā
āi already said iām not going! now w-whereās paimon? w-ā before he could finish his sentence, a gust of paimonās breath hitting the travelerās neck made him shudder, letting out a strangled noise in between. the realization of what they were about to do to him was enough to.. think about what was more important. āp-paihihimon..ā aether warned, trying his best to keep a steady voice.
āoh, so you are ticklish mr. honorary knight! klee knew that paimonās info was reliable!ā she giggled softly as her soft and tiny hands scratched at the travelerās stomach with ease. paimon shook their head, floating over the side of them both. āthis wouldnāt have happened if you had just listened to paimon and went with the little girl.. but because you refused, paimon had to resort to such measures. klee, his hips are really ticklish if you dig your thumbs in,ā they added that last part to tease him, they both knew that.
so this is how they were gonna play. it was either go willingly or end up dying of laughter on the floor. either way it turned out not in his favor. āk-KLEHEHEHE-! p-PAIHIHIHIMON YOHOHOU TRAHAHAITOR!ā aether slammed his head back to the floor, shuddering at just how cold it was as he tried to relieve himself of these ticklish sensations while doing his best not to hurt klee. and it was very challenging.
but even if it was challenge, what was it most of all? embarrassing. even the knights that stood guard outside jeanās office were softly chuckling at this childish tactic. but it worked, pretty well indeed. āyouāre doing it wrong, klee! here, let me show you,ā paimon floated over the girl who was still lightly tracing patterns over his soft tummy, and quickly squeezed his hip, digging all of her fingers in with a load of pressure. his laughter somehow got even louder with that, which klee happily giggled at.
ā.. what is the meaning of all this noise out he-ā lisa, who was just trying to reorganize some books that were loose, came out to see this wonderful scenario played out in front of her eyes. aetherās bright smile was stuck on his face, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes as he squirmed side to side, still trapped underneath kleeās astonishing amount of weight. seriously, what was in those bags? more bombs?! (probably, knowing her.)
she chuckled at the sight of them, shaking her head. ā.. my, my, cutie. you never told me you were ticklish. i suppose that explains all the things i noticed when we went out that one time. anyways, whatās all this about anyways? surely youāre not just torturing him for fun?ā klee shook her head, now squeezing his sides with ease as paimon worked on his knees, scribbling everywhere they could find.
āno! klee needs his help, but.. b-but he refused. so paimon came to me and told me a way to get him to come with us. and it looks like itās working!ā
āhm. mind if i help? if you need his help, iāll help you get him to be.. open minded about your request.ā paimonās head titled slightly, pursing their lips together as they floated upwards to the electro librarian. āwhy donāt you just help her?ā
ābecause, iām awfully busy. and i donāt like to leave the library for long periods of time. .. anyways, iām here to help!ā lisa sat at the top of him, grabbing his arms and holding them above his head with ease. no, no- no! this couldnāt be happening, he thought. and the only way to make it stop was to admit that he could go with her.. but he couldnāt!
not until paimon struck a nerve.
āWAIHIHIHIT- NAHAHAH- PAIHIHIHIMON-!ā aether screamed out, arching his back as one of his worst spots was exploited right there in front of everyone. paimon had made their way down to his feet, where they were gently treading their fingers up and down. āoh! paimon thought your hips were your worst spot, but it seems like paimon was wrong! you definitely seem a lot more sensitive here than anywhere else!ā
āSTAHAHAP! OKAYOKAY! FIHIHIHINE! H-HAHAHAVE MEHEHERCY!ā klee shook her head, a stern look on her face. āyou have to admit that youāre coming with klee on the trip! do it! admit it! or klee will continue to tickle you! ehehehe!ā the evil laughter that poured out of her mouth was much more sinister than he thought itād ever sound. aether squeezed his eyes shut, unable to bear any more of this.
lisa let go of his hands, and paimon stopped the attack on his feet but klee stayed right where she was, sitting on his waist with ease. aetherās heavy breaths were the only sound ringing through the walls. man, his whole body felt like jelly after that. āpromise me!ā klee smiled, holding out her pinky to his face. āpromise me so that you canāt break it!ā
ā.. w-what?ā with a huff, the little girl poked his side rapidly for a few seconds, watching him squeal out with a bright red face. āpromise klee that youāll help find the dodo-king! and that youāll help save dodoco from any harm!ā
aether sighed. this was a war he couldnāt, and didnāt, win. wrapping his pinky with hers, he nodded. āi.. promise, o-okay..?ā light laughter could still be heard under his breath as klee grabbed his hand and pulled him up off the ground as soon as she got off. ācāmon, letās go! letās go, letās go!ā
paimon could only smile when he gave them a dirty look.
