Headcanon: Whenever Armin was sick, to help him get to sleep, his parents would read him some verses out of their many books on the ouside world or let him hear some of their ideas of how they imagined the outside world looked. This would always help him get to sleep, only to dream about being outside the walls with his family. But now, whenever he gets sick, it is Eren who either reads or talks to him about the outside world until he falls asleep. And it is Eren who is with him in the dream.
//I doubt Armin's parents knew that he was so into the outside world; he and Eren really didn't talk about it much with anyone but each other and it's stated that he snuck out his grandpa's books, implying that if anyone saw him grabbing one, he'd get in trouble.
