He talks to Whenua a bit about his relationship with Nuju and how he knew it was what he wanted. At lunch, Pohatu and Tahu rope him into playing in the student-teacher volleyball game, and Lewa only agrees to join because he'll get to spend time with Onua. After Lewa leaves, Pohatu asks Onua how long he and Lewa have been dating and Onua nearly dies. Later, at yard duty, Pohatu apologizes for embarrassing him, and Onua confesses out loud for the first time that he does love Lewa.
