SHE’D BEEN MULLING OVER  the issue for a while now ;  daylight jewelry had always seemed like an interesting concept, and while there weren’t all too many vampires currently around, darcy figured the provision might help  smooth things  with those that  were  stuck here, even if it didn’t completely alleviate the situation. the witch had obtained the procedure instructions some time ago, and had been  itching  to try it out, anyways  ---  and if finishing this project happened to coincide with the possible needs of an  ...  acquaintance ,  well ;  darcy certainly didn’t mind paying forth a favor.  ( the fact that this  might  come in handy later was  definitely  her only reason to do this ;  and if she told herself so enough, it might even be  true  at some point. )  

locating genevieve was not as hard as she figured it was  supposed  to be ;  the spring village certainly was more private than the major haunts of the realm, but darcy knew the vampire well enough to make an  educated guess  ( with only a  little  magical aid )  on her choices. the evening was still early enough to meet the woman at home, darcy hoped, but darkness had already set when she finally knocked on the other’s door with a smirk on her face and a little box in her hands.  “ if i say  i’ve come bearing gifts ,  will you let me in? ”

THE EXCITEMENT OF THE FAIR,  as energetic as it had made her at first, was slowly starting to tire her out a little; the constant  smiling  at friends and acquaintances, while not a farce per se, began to took its toll on her mood. surely, camilla thought, no one would notice if she just sneaked off for a moment to catch her breath.  peace ,  it seemed, however, was not to be had, anyways; not too long after she sat down against a tree on the path to the woods, she noticed someone’s footsteps approaching. not about to bother a perfect stranger with her  moods ,  though, camilla smiled up at them.  “ need a breath from all the buzz, too? ”
