For anyone interested in getting the same kind of plant that the Revenge "liberated" from those dastardly fishermen, it's a lemon button fern. Very easy to keep in low-light conditions as long as you frequently water and mist it.
A bonus shot of a little Red Koi isopod hanging out on a Lemon Button Fern leaf.
Some quick pics of the terrarium for isopods that our 4-year-old helped me build.
These will be his first pets, he loves to help me mist the other terrariums and feed the big pets (cat and dog) so now he can have something that is "his" to take care of.
And the Powder isopods are actually out and about quite a bit exploring their new home.
Remember that poor little lemon button fern that I got in 2021 that nearly died? It lost almost all its fronds and I nearly threw it out. In April 2022 it looked like this (and this was an IMPROVEMENT because it was actually trying to grow new fiddleheads)
Well! It continued chugging along and today it looks like this
It’s still going, too! Check the fuzzy baby fronds!

Hot cats, it’s actually looking like a fern again!
I had it in a cachepot and it sat in water for a week... so it had a bit of a set-back. But I didn’t lose any fronds! It’s living, chachepot-less, on top of the toilet getting bright diffuse light in my bathroom, slowly growing back into a pretty lemon button fern.
