Theres something to her tone that would indicate on some level she was amused by that statement.

"The real monsters are the one's who destroy lives just because they can. The ones that will take and take, and never give. The ones that feel entitled to everything just because they want it and have no regard for the thoughts or feelings of others. The real monsters, are the ones who will never be sorry for the things they've done. A monster can't feel remorse. A monster destroys everything they touch, and the worst part is they revel in it."

Katherine stared the girl down, watching her closely. There was something about her that was intriguing. More to her than she was putting on the surface- Katherine wanted to know what was hiding under those still waters.

"Is there a monster in your life you're trying to make excuses for?"

i love the way @rachelambre took a character that was dead before the game(s) began and decided, no, you know what, this character deserves a second chance at life. and then breathed life into her and continues to do so day after day.

rachel is such a complex, beautiful, fully realized character. i love reading about all the shenanigans she gets up to. i love reading about her in all the different verses. i love all the dynamics between rachel and my muses.

"I recognize a girl at the end of her rope. Not every rock bottom needs a kick to the gut for good measure."

If anyone understands what its like to watch the one you love give everything to the least deserving person for it- it's Katherine.

garrett swung his head over to look at jj, squinting eyes at the blonde. he leaned over, shoving at his shoulder with a playful huff and roll of eyes. " you live and breathe chaos, man. this doesn't surprise me but how about we focus on trying to help our dumbass friends instead of goading them further into stupidity, yeah? "

the question is full of tease, sense of playfulness as garrett finally stood and grabbed his bookbag. with an effortless swing, shoved the bookbag onto shoulders and then leaned down to grab the car keys, his lighter, and the two joints jj had rolled up.

"You know my dad is a factory worker. My mom got sick once when I was little, and couldnt watch me and my sister. My dad was too cheap to pay a babysitter so he just brought us to work with him. It was wildly dangerous and irresponsible but well... it was my dad. So what does anyone expect realistically. I learned a lot from it though. He taught me how some of the machines worked. Let me watch him take them apart to clean them and put them back together. That's kind of where I learned to work on the boat engines. Im no expert but I can get by." She shrugged.

"I thought Pogues didn't mac on pogues." Katherine smirked.

"However, seeing as how neither one of us has ever cared about rules...."

the question caught kane off guard. brows furrow, if only for a moment before expression is smoothed back out in his normal uncaring disposition. choc drop eyes cut over to the blonde, her tiny stature, the way confusion and determination shown in eyes of brilliant blue, and the way she stood with an air of confidence that most men would find unnerving.

" because if i didn't you wouldn't have anyone to annoy other than kai and he might kill you if you do that. so, really, i am some twisted hero or whatever makes you sleep better tonight, amelia. " the words are spoken with a sigh lilting the syllables.
