(top) Legroux's boater hat, made of burnt bread straw, features a double half-pass effect finished with fins in the front and adorned with white grosgrain. (middle) Le Monnier. With a very stylish design, this black straw hat has large, even bell-shaped brims; the crown is trimmed at the front with a fruit motif on a pleated green ribbon. (below) Jane Blanchot trims a large green straw hat with a striped grosgrain ribbon around the crown and brim.

(top) Le canotier de Legroux, en paille pain brûlé, montre un effet de demi-passe double terminée en ailerons devant et ornée de gros-grain blanc. (milieu) Le Monnier. D'une ligne très allurée, ce chapeau en paillasson noir a de grands bords cloches réguliers; la calotte est garnie à l'avant par un motif de fruits sur un ruban vert plissé.
