I noticed that whenever I play games, either my upbringing kicks in. My dad hardly spends money on anything, when we ate or cooked something, it was always eaten. ALWAYS. In all the Final Fantasys, I never use majority of the potions, let alone use them, none of the attack items like red fangs. I almost definitely never use any of the status ailments fixers. I usually have over 1k in items in every game. In fact, I never actually look at the list. I don't want to use the items because I don't want to run out. I don't want to use the attack items because what if I may need them later. BUT, I don't even use the items on the end game battles. I beat FFX last couple bosses completely item free. (Hell they were thought free with all the exploit leveling I was doing).

On other games without an item list like that, such as Zelda, I never really use my Rupees. What if I need those rupees! I have never bought an unneeded potion (if it is required in a quest). I never buy more arrows, or deku nuts. I save money, and I find my resources in the grass or something.

If you look at my Super Mario World gamefile, I had a fullset of items. I knew I could get more, but why spend them at all T.T
