I hope attachment never finds me again, not because I'm afraid of love, but because I know some goodbyes broke parts of me that may never fully heal. Sometimes you grow attached without even realizing it. One message makes me happy, and the same silence can break me. The hardest part is trying to let go of someone I desperately want. There was a lot going on inside of me. A million questions, a thousand insecurities, and no one to answer them. I never wanted this to happen. I never even expected it would, but it did. We never know what the future has in store for us. If something is meant to happen, it surely will. But somewhere deep down, I never wanted this mess, this confusion, or any of this. I wanted a life that was calm, peaceful, and free of regrets. Now when I look back, I see the mistakes I've made, and I know they can never be corrected. I've messed up my life with my own hands, and here I am, all alone, by myself. Even when someone asks me what I'm hiding, I go blank. I don't even know what's missing inside me anymore. I know there's something I want, I really do, but that something is still a question mark to me. They say I don't share things with them, but little do they know that I have almost nothing left to share. It's all regrets... regrets everywhere, and I don't even want to talk about them. The people I trusted with every inch of my being, the ones who were always there through my highs and lows, are nowhere to be seen anymore. Yet they ask me what's wrong with me, when the only question has always been, "What is right?"
I don't know if I'll ever overcome these battles or if my life will remain like this for years to come. A part of me is gone, and I don't know if I'll ever find it again. And I have no idea how to go on. Over the years, my experiences have turned me into a lone warrior. I don't depend on anyone. I make my own decisions. I handle everything by myself. I cry alone, I stand alone, I fight alone, and I win alone. But I'm grateful to those who stayed beside me, even if they never knew what was going on inside me. The worst part is that you'll probably never understand me. The trauma I've been through never lets me depend on anyone emotionally or physically. Whenever something happens, I simply pick up my shield and isolate myself until I have the strength to fight again.
