Thank god Microsoft is paying my flight to murica, my month-long trip is only gonna cost me US$2500 for domestic flights and accommodation @U@
i’m actually glad that i sometimes fight with my parents because it forces us to be honest with one another and understand each other more

YES I WILL BE THERE IN LATE APRIL
Some positive 2016 stuff
I’ve been kind of a downer so i thought i’d post some things that happened last year that i really appreciate happened!!
Feb: finished my first internship! It was unpaid, but i got a whole lot of experience that helped me land another internship
Mar: Became a TA and taught ~450 students this year
Jul: Travelled to Scandinavia, did some hiking amongst the beautiful Norwegian fjords and met up with my frend @sugaryviolet !!
Aug/Sep: Got 6 final round interviews, 4 job offers, and accepted 2 for summer internships, one in Sydney and the other in Seattle!! :DD
Sep: Toured around Sydney’s old buildings and railways with my dad, which was a great bonding experience
Nov: Received my US visa to work in May C:
Dec: Started my first summer internship in Sydney, which has been really interesting so far!
I improved lots as a teacher and got lots of nice messages from students that they enjoyed my classes!
Got 4 High Distinctions and 1 Distinction in my classes, even with my other work commitments!
I’m also really excited for the new year, with tons of career opportunities wide open to me, and another chance for me to catch up with old friends in america who I miss dearly.
Happy new year, I hope it’s a good one for everyone! Thanks to everyone who helped get me where I want to be!!

holy shit, it’s been nearly 10 years since an australian prime minister has served one full term from start to finish without resigning, being thrown out, or elected out of office
what is wrong with our country lmao
