She looked up from the string of lights she’d sat herself down on the patio to disentangle from themselves just under the tree that she’d planned to hang them from after. The process was slow, but it was working. The only side effect being she was tangling herself in them instead. “Isn’t that something dad always said?” Chaerin asked, though more focused on finding the plug end of the string. “As much as I appreciate the wisdom, I really would rather have-” As she begun to stand she found the plug– with the bottom of her foot.

She hissed out the beginning of a curse that may or may not have begun with f, really really trying not to finish the word. Losing that battle, she flopped back onto the ground holding onto her injured foot with one hand and the other clamped over her mouth in attempt to stifle any other screeches of pain. Sighing with sudden realization as the throbbing in her foot dulled she tossed lights off herself as best she could.  “There isn’t even anywhere to plug this in out here is there?… Harin, please, help me… I’m going crazy.”
