Summary: After a pumpkin carving competition in the kitchen, Shoji walks in to Kaminari attempting to get revenge for Ojiro's mischief. Shoji decides to help.
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
"C'mon dude! just stay-"
"IhI'm tryhiNG-"
Shoji couldn't help but smile at the silly scene he stumbled upon.
"What are you two doing?" He asked, amused.
Kaminari looked up from his spot on the floor, grinning. "I'm trying to tickle Ojiro, of course!" He gestured high above the tail that was splayed in his lap and the giggly ball of his friend infront.
"Ok..." Shoji glanced at Ojiro's red face. "and why is he letting you?"
"Because someone," Kaminari pointed at the tail, just above the fur, causing Ojiro to squeak. "Decided to make me destroy three pumpkins. Three!" The hand lifted away, causing more titters to escape the boy. "So I get three seconds of vengeance."
Shoji did remember the electric user jumping during the competition whenever Ojiro slid by behind him. The resulting shock Kaminari would release caused pumpkin guts to spray all over the kitchen. It was a fun game, even when Bakugo tried to strangle him.
"So if you have three seconds," Shoji leaned against the doorframe, "How come he is still here? I feel like you both have been at this for a while, and-" Shoji stared at Kaminari, "Why are you wearing an American Football helmet?"
"Ah, well you see-" Kaminari lifted his hands from the ground to tap the helmet, but as they passed the tail in his lap, they barely grazed the puffed out fur.
Ojiro yelped and his tail flinched, smacking Kaminari in the face.
"Oof!" Kaminari fell back from the force, stunned.
Shoji couldn't stop himself from laughing. "IhI thihink I know- whyhy"
Kaminari laughed along as he sat back up. "Yehah... I thouhught I would tease him a lihittle, but nohow he ihis too riled uhup to stahay still!"
"IhI'm sorryheehehe!" the ball of fur managed wheeze, "ihit ticklehs!"
"I still haven't touched you!" Kaminari laughed.
"I could help hold the tail down if you want." Both boys looked up at Shoji's offer. One's mischievous grin widened while the other managed to giggle like he was being tickled. His eyes widened with anticipation.
"Heck yeah dude!" Shoji walked over and sat down next to him. "Just hold it still, I can keep track of the time."
Shoji shrugged, smiling apologetically at the other student as he reached for the wagging tail. "It's best we get it over with, Ojiro."
"I know thAEEtT! Ojiro shreiked when Shoji managed to grab the offending limb and wrestle it down.
"Ok!" Kaminari tossed the helmet away and slowly inched his hand to the pinned tail. "You ready buddy?"
"NohohoOHOHOAHAHA!!!"

âAlright everyone! Iâve decided that we should perform a team building exercise today!â Iida chimed from the front of the common room, having previously beckoned all of the class to it.
âBut Iidaaaa!â Mina whined, âItâs our only day off!â
âPrecisely!â The class rep clapped his hands together, then strode to a table which held a box.
Iida took the time to explain the system: choosing a yellow token from the box indicated the student was a hero! Choosing a red token indicated the student was a villain. Hereâs the fun part. The red team planned the game, while the yellow team solved the mystery.
âAlright! Letâs get started, Red Team!â Iida called his teammates down to the kitchen, ready to plan the mystery.
After Iida and his team designed the perfect plan for Team Yellow, he regrouped with his classmates in the common area.
âTeam Yellow, please report to the kitchen so that we may set up our game.â The class rep commanded.
The other students obliged, happily skipping down the hallway, ready for the new adventure. Except for Bakugo of course, who was rolling his eyes and sauntering along. Upon their return, they saw multiple âbloodâ covered patrons and Izuku âdeadâ on the floor, trying so hard to not laugh and break character.
âOh my!â Momo cried upon seeing the sight of her bloodied classmates.
âYou must solve the mystery. Who killed Midoriya?â Iida asked, mustering a playful tone, âThe only rules are no quirk usage, no physical violence and no verbal abuses, Bakugo.â
Before the atomic blonde could bark an insult back at the speedy boy, Denki cut in.
âAlright team! First things first...â Denki looked up at the bloodied classmates in wickedness, âWe need to catch someone for intel.â
Upon those words, the Red Team students scattered like mice, for they knew if they were caught it would be much harder to win.
âGet back here!â Kirishima cried in glee, chasing after his friends in suit.
Denki took off after Ojiro, who was giggling madly in anticipation of being caught. They pattered through the dorm halls, ducking in and out of rooms. Finally, Chargebolt had the tailed hero cornered.
âFreeze!â The electric blonde demanded, shortly after tackling said boy to the ground.
âWAAAH! Kaminari! Wh-â the taller boy mentally cursed himself for being caught so easily.
âNow! You will tell me what I need to know, however and whenever, understand?â Denki barked out demand after demand, but Ojiro was destined to stay in character.
âYouâll never break me, see! Iâm under the bossâs orders, see!â Somehow a monster character came from him, but he wasnât complaining.
Kaminari was in a pickle, what was he supposed to do? The only thing he can think of is-
Oh thatâll do.
âNot gonna talk eh? Well. Better get ready, Ojiro; they donât call me Don Turtelli for nothinâ!â
âDon Turt- What are you on about?â Ojiro furrowed his brows in utter confusion.
Denki grinned evilly as he wiggled an evil claw toward his friend. âMuahahaha! Get ready to talk, Villain!â he cooed, finally bringing his hand down to squeeze at the latterâs stomach.
âGAH! Whahahahat?! K-Kahahamihihinahaharihihi!â The tailed hero wailed in shock.
âAww I forgot how cute you sounded when you laughed!â The electric blonde cooed as he scrunched up his nose, âNow tell me who did it!â
âNeheheheveheheher!â Ojiro was determined. He was going to stay in character whether he died from tickles or not.
âHm. Thatâs quite the shame, Ojiro. You leave me no choice.â Kaminari retracted his torturous hand and brought it up to hover over the trapped boyâs ribs,
Kaminari simply let out a fond breath of air as he stopped his assault on the tailed heroâs ribs.
âYou leave me no choice.â
âYouâve already said that!â
âGetting cocky now are we?â The electric blonde cocked an eyebrow and wore a sly grin.
âShut up! Let go of me! Theyâll come find me soon!â Ojiro spat in defense, immediately regretting it after.
âThatâs it! You have one last chance to tell me who killed Midoriya!â
âKiss my ass!â
Denki brought back the all accursed claw and ever so slowly wiggled or above Ojiroâs torso. Where would he strike next? The tailed hero found himself giggling madly in anticipation.
âC-cmohohohon. Dehehehenks!â
The claw wiggled and squeezed the open air as it teased over the pinned boyâs body. Until it finally hit down on the hollows of his hips.

I know I already said thankys before but, really, thank you so much for your support, it means the world for me. <3

[Gee these covers are lumpy, better fix the covers up!]
"Gee, these covers are lumpy, better fix the covers up!" Mina wormed her hands under the giggly boy, fishing a loud shriek as she vibrated her thumb between his shoulder blades and her other hand squeezed his sides, resulting in a more desperate wiggling from her victim. "Squish, squish, squish the squirmy Ojiro to fix all the lumps!"
"I AHAHAM NOT A COHOHOVER!"
"Hmmm, I don't know if I am convinced," her eyes glinted when the blond arched his back and her hands immediately dashed to scratch his incredibly, horribly ticklish lower back. "I mean, why else would I find such a cute squeaky toy, oops, I mean, cover in my bed?" Bubbly squeals painted Ojiro's laughter almost as strong as the red that painted his cheeks as he shook his head, protesting.
"I ahaham not s-squeheheaky!" Mina's nails scribbled and grazed on his ribs, the quick, high pitched sounds that flied from his lips contradicting his own words. "That doesn't prove anything!" The tailed teenager managed to breath out before descending in belly laughter again.
His pink friend matched his laughter in response, slowing her silly tickly attack as tears began to form on the other's eyes, pinching and poking his tummy in order to keep the adorable giggles filling the air. The cute wiggles from him and his tail were a bonus, as well.
"Hard day?"
Ojiro nodded, a smile still plastered on his face.
"It was. Your behed is fluffyhihihi. Sorry fohohor intrudihihing."
She waved his worries off, "it's no problem! Just give me a warn next time so I won't lay on you again, okay?"
Ojiro snickered, remembering the scared screams from they both when a few minutes ago Mina decided to jump on her bed and didn't even realize the strange lump that was Ojiro sleeping under all the comforters and plushies.
"I will."
"Good." The pink haired girl then cracked her fingers, a dangerous smirk spreading on her face, probably an effect of being Bakugou's friend, and making goosebumps ran freely on Ojiro's spine.
"No no nohoho!" He shot his hands up in an a placating gesture, excited giggles already falling from his mouth. "I already agreed with you! Please!"
Mina pouted in faux empathy. "Sorry, friendo, but your squeaky squeaks and wiggly wiggley wiggles are just too much cute for me to not tickle you again!"
"Ihihi don't," a snort cut his sentence, "I don't dohoho any of that!" He says, in between his wiggles and squeaks.
"Well," She attacked his armpits, a blinding smile taking over her features as the other began to giggle and snicker non stop. "I am sure we can compromise, eventually."

[I wouldnât say that with the position youâre in, star student]
"I wouldn't say that with the position you're in, star student." Sero grinned, the non said threat falling heavily between them.
Todoroki blinked, stopping his struggles to lay limply on the floor, still staring the black haired friend on top of him, the fake dagger pressed on his neck.
"It doesn't make sense." Sero threw his hands up, exasperated. Shoto turned to look at Momo, who signalized at Jirou to stop the filmation. "If he's just got into my house in the middle of the night to kill me how does he know about my grades?"
"Well, maybe you just look like a super genius or something!" The other actor retorted, shoving his face on his hands and then on the floor as Todoroki stared at him with an unconvinced expression.
"Or," Kaminari jumped in, ignoring his friends dramatics "he can be his archenemy, building his hate and revenge plan since Todoroki did.... Something bad at him in the school."
Todoroki piked up at the opportunity to put another conspiracy in the movies' plot. "That could make sense."
"Don't encourage him." Jirou smirked at the protesting 'hey!' shouted by the other, preparing another snarky remark before being cut by Momo's voice.
"We're not making any more changes on the plot. We will just remake this scene and then everyone can go home, okay?"
"I think Izuku would lose it if we asked for him to rewrite another part." Nods and mumbles of agreement to Sero's words filled the room as all the occupants remembered the boy's determined rant of why the dagger's blade shouldn't be completely straight nor silver. "Anyway, I still need to buy that new Fatgum's game that came out. Let's move on."
"I can't," the dual haired actor claimed, a blank face "you're sitting on top of me."
And, for a moment, as the pun sank on his friends' brain, only silence met him.
Then Jirou and Kaminari immediately broke in loud laughter, Momo hiding her own chuckles behind her hand.
"Oh my god," Sero bit his own laughter in order to try to look at least a bit serious as he attempted to glare at Shoto. "You think you are so funny, don't you?"
Smugly, Todoroki let the corner of his lips twitch.
"Let me help you to show what is funny, then!"
"Wait-" but he was too late, before the words even came out from his mouth Sero was already dancing his fingers on his sides, switching between squeezing them quickly to scribbling and prodding at his ribs, yelps and guffaws already spinning in the air. "Dohohon't! Wait, wahahahait!!"
The black haired friend laughed with him, his blinding smile and uncontrollable giggles being too much adorable to resist. "I think you actually meant 'I am very sorry for ever complaining about your great performance, my amazing friend Sero.', right?"
Todoroki shook his head, gasping and squirming harder when Sero experimented clawed at his stomach, a series of quiet nononono's and pleaseplease's spilling freely from his lips.
"Tsk. Not even close, man. But don't worry, we have aaaaall the afternoon." A snort escaped from Todoroki and he hid his face on his hands, making Jirou 'aww' and Kaminari shout a 'wait wait make he do it again!' "So take your time, OK?" And then, in a quieter voice "If I go too much far just hold my wrists and I will stop."
A barely there nod showed that the other had heard him, however, as his hands continued to hid his face, bright laughter and shy giggles still filled the studio for much more time.
"Oh yeah! I told you they'd win! Ha! Pay up, Midoriya!"
"B-but this is not fair! Tokoyami bought the victory by offering to do Shoji's dishes! That is not a-!
"There is nothing against this in the rules." Tokoyami shrugged, still panting from the sparring. "And I just remembered there is Midnight-sensei's paper for tomorrow that I didn't even start."
"Sorry, Midoriya. But we will have much more training in the future, still, and your analysis really helped me! You're right, maybe starting to use some weapon, since a hand to hand combat can give my quirk some damage, will be a good advantage." The taller teenager waved at them, Dark Shadow mirroring him enthusiastically as they followed Tokoyami back at the dorms. "I should search for options before choosing. Thank you for the cheering."
Kaminari waved back before turning to Izuku, his smile getting bigger as he saw his protesting pout. "Aww, is someone angy?" He hugged him from behind, snickering when he saw a glimpse of a smile on the other's expression before an exaggerated frown took over, green eyes deviating from his teasing grin.
"I know you want to smile. ~" Denki delivered a couple of pokes on his stomach, an evil idea full of wiggly fingers and giggly squeals blossoming on his mind. "Maybe the 1-A sunshine need some cheering up after being such sore loser? ~"
Midoriya turned on his embrace, now being face to face at him, determination burning on his features.
"Maybe I do!"
And then he blew a raspberry right on that spot where his neck and collarbone met. A loud, surprised squeak answered him and he was quick to dig on Kaminari's hips, being so careful and so mindful to give plenty of attention and tickles to every sensitive inch of flesh, don't forgetting to still deliver smaller raspberries at random spots on the blond's neck, successfully ending with all his coordination to get revenge.
"Whahahahat!! That is nOT-" A snort, more bubbly giggles. "That is not fahahhair!!!"
"But you're helping me to cheer up. See, I have no more pouts and no more frowns thanks to you!"
"Then stop!"
Kaminari tried to squirm his way out of the ticklish embrace, finding that maybe bringing Midoriya to his lap when he decided to tickle-hug him wasn't his best idea.
"I don't know. I think I am still a bit grumpy..." He stopped his attack in order to gently trace that spot right on the blond's right third rib, drawing circles around it and trying to not giggle together when Denki's bubbly snickers filled the air. "Maybe you amazing laughter can help me with that!"

[You know, this fluffy duster feels a lot like your tail...]
"You know, this fluffy duster feels a lot like your tail..." Izuku said, thoughtfully, a particular idea shining on his mind that may or may not was inspired by yesterday's Great Tickle Fight.
"Really?" Ojiro, (un)fortunately, didn't notice the danger hidden on the smaller's words, petting the duster and the fluff on his tail for a bit in comparison. "It really is. But it's not stronger like mine tail!" He made a show of flexing the aforementioned, both chickling at his silliness. "Oh, are you going to clean the curtains? I can help!"
A plan formed on Izuku's mind. He controlled his features to not show the playful grin that threatened to take over his face.
"Yes. Could you hold that part right there?" He pointed to a high spot on the fabric. "I can't research it."
"No problem!" The blond smiled and did as asked, not realizing the way Midoriya stepped closer nor how his shirt exposed a small patch on his stomach with his new position. "Like this?"
"Yes!" Izuku, then, shoved the fluffly, soft, tickly duster under his shirt, instigating a loud squeak to escape from the other.
"Midoriya!!"
But he didn't let go of the curtain, a smile spreading on his face.
"Yes?"
"Dohon't"
The green haired boy slightly moved the duster, quick enough to make the bristles of the feathers to barely tease the skin, but only that. Another yelp and a few giggles leading Ojiro to try to hide his red face on his shoulder.
"Don't what?" He beamed.
A small shook of head, a shy giggle. "Ihim not falling for thahat."
"Aw. But I am going to tickle you anyway!" Ojiro yelped, trying to curl on himself, however immediately regretting his decision as the movement shot light shocks across his torso, every feather following his squirms. "Yes! I am going to tickle, tickle, tickle you until all those cutes squeals and nice laughter trapped inside are free. As a future hero, it's my job to help them!"
"Dohohon't say that word." His words were in vain, especially because now Midoriya carried that determined look, thoughts racing on his mind as his hands continued to keep the duster on the same place.
"Maybe I should try to tickle his stomach first? I could start wiggling the duster there and then change to his sides and ribs or maybe I could start on his sides and ribs going up and down a few times and then tickle his stomach as I change from a side to another. The element of surprise is always a powerful tool so I should always change from going extremely soft and low to more quick attacks! I wonder if I can try it on his tail too? I could-"
"Ihihizuku, please!" The one being called snapped out of his rambling by a very flustered, giggly Ojiro, who still held the curtains as if his life depended on it. "J-juhust do it already, plehease."
And Izuku was happy to oblige.
[~.~]
[As nice as this is, we really should get up]
"As nice as this is, we really should get up." Tokoyami said softly, patting the green hair of the head which rested on his shoulder, - it was really as fluffy as it looked! - almost snorting when Midoriya squinted his eyes at the credit's playing on the screen. "Everyone else already went to their room."
Izuku looked around, as if he just realized all his friends decided to call it a night when President Mic - who has been called both due his good taste in movies and to keep an eye on them and their ability to cause chaos - woke up half of the class as he fell asleep in a bad position and started snoring, accidentally activating his quirk.
"It's not-" A yawn cut Izuku's words and pulled Tokoyami away from his thoughts. "It's not a movie night if we can't watch at least five movies."
"Oh no, the horrible punishments that the Universe will bought upon us after such terrible offense. What we shall do in the face of that helpless fate?"
Midoriya lightly shoved him away, a sleepy smile taking all the seriousness from his frown. "N't f'nny."
Tokoyami started to softly scribble his fingers on the other's neck, following him as he tiredly wiggled away, no real fight on his movements.
"Then why are you laughing?"
"Tohohokoyami! Naha!"
"What? Wait... Is this the punishment from the Universe?" Maybe it was because it was so rare for his friend being this playful, or because the drops of faked seriousness painting his words, but Midoriya found himself giggling harder, a bubbly tittering escaping as the tickling traveled to behind his ears. "Giggling and wiggling until we inevitably give up and decide to watch movies until the end of our brief mortal existence, oh, the pain."
"You're so sihihihilly!"
"Me, the embodiment of darkness âsillyâ? Oh, Midoriya, what have they done to you?" His tune was bathed in faux pity.
"Plehehehease!" Tokoyami decided to travel to the smaller boy's sides, scratching and poking them lightly enough to keep the flow of airy laughter and rare squeaks as a reward for the sudden, quick pinches. "It tickles! It tickles so much!"
"The Universe is tickling you? Will the cruelness ever end? Ah, the struggles someone as ticklish, so, so ticklish as you must be going through... Do not give up, Midoriya!" He did his best to not huff in amusement as the aforementioned hugged him, hiding his face oh his chest and muffling his louder laughter due the teases. "Don't let its darkness to dim your light."
His fingertips grazed the back of his ribs, Izuku only giggled harder, "Okahahay, Okay! We- no, not there! - we can go slehehehep!"
Tokoyami stopped the light tickling, waiting for the moment green eyes locked on his before proceeding, a deadly serious gaze on his face.
"Don't." Izuku warned.
"But the Universe's punishment-"
"O-oh my GOD!"
[~.~]
[i did not say that!]
"I did not said that!" But the giggles were already spilling out.
"Yes!!" Izuku, the traitor, couldn't be any more happy, basically sparkling as the feathers of his wings fluffed up in amusement. "You did! You did! You did! I am totally going to do that, now!"
Kirishima was quick to retrieve a pillow and prepare it to a fight, pointing it at his guardian angel with a half groan, half giggle. "That is not fair, man!! You can't ask questions when I am about to sleep, I always say the first thing that pops in my mind!"
"It wasn't really my original intention," the angel smiled sheepishly. "Humans' need to sleep are still confusing to me... But!!" He crept closer, fingers wiggling. "That only means that when you said yesterday..."
"No."
"That you likes when I-"
"No!" Big smiles, small giggles. "Come on. Shut up!"
"-that you like when I tickle you-" The rest of the sentence was a squeak as the red haired boy jumped at him, his soft weapon firm on his hands, and both dashed across the room in a chase. "I knew it!" Izuku laughed, - laughed. Not shyly giggled or awkwardly grinned, - pleased that one of his theories about his protected human (and friend) was right.
Damn, Kirishima wanted to at least fake a pout and put on a real fight, but how could he when the magical being was acting so happily? When he was so full of joy?
That didn't stop him from tackling his friend on the floor, both rolling in a playful roughhousing and playing fair until Kirishima felt something incredibly, impossibly soft on his neck, wide eyes as he realized only now how Midoriya's wings were stretched around him, almost engulfing both beings on its length.
The soft feeling came back, now scribbling all over his neck, sending tickly shocks through his body and weaking his strength, something which allowed the other launch his arms around his waist, hugging Eijirou from behind and leaving him to freely stare at some free feathers that slowly swung on his direction, aiming for his tickle spots.
Izuku felt a bit worried when the human stopped squirming.
"If I last 30 seconds without laughing you will let me go to that Parkour classes on Monday."
"But they're dangerous," Eijirou interrupted him, "you can use your magic feathers."
He could almost feel the angel thinking, analysing his options.
"Forty-five seconds."
"I will get you back and ask Shinsou to help me."
Pout. "You're mean."
A feather wriggled on his bellybutton, cutting any snark answer that the human had to that.
More feathers appeared in front of him. Adrenaline ran on Kirishima's veins at the idea of his new challenge.
"Deal."
[...]
Sidenote: Shinsou is Kirishima's cat. He loves to randomly lay and nap on the angel, but for some reason his purring tickles Izuku. He likes to purr a lot. Izuku is almost sure the feline knows what he is doing. Kirishima think the whole situation is hilarious.
Ojiro and Midoriya - âWhat happens if I tickle you⊠here?â
Lees: Ojiro and Midoriya
Lers: Midoriya and Ojiro
âWhat happens if I tickle you⊠here?â Midoriya started to let his fingertips tap on Ojiroâs sides like typing on a keyboard as Ojiro squirmed underneath him. Ojiro tried to hold his laugh in, but he couldnât help but to feel the tingling sensations on his sides.
âPfft - Midoriyahahahahaha! Not my sidehehehehes!â Ojiro arched his back and tried to protect his torso with his arms.
âNot your sides? Then what about⊠your ribs?â Midoriya then started to poke his ribs, making Ojiro giggle louder.
âNaahahahahahaha! Not thehehehehere ehehehither!â
âThen where else can I tickle you?â Midoriya teased, wiggling his fingers as he moved his hands above Ojiro from trying to go to his underarms, to his sides, then his belly, and for the ribs.
âNohohohoho whahahahahahere!â Ojiro blushed badly as he watched Midoriyaâs wiggling hands hovering above him.
âHmm⊠then Iâm sure I can tickle your tummy. Tickle, tickle, tickle!â Midoriya dove his hands right on the sides of Ojiroâs belly, causing him to arch his back higher and wheezed his laugh a bit. âNohohohohoho teheheheheasing!â
âBut why? Is it flustering you?â Midoriya teased again with a grin.
âThahahahahatâs it!â Ojiro had enough strength to sit up and wrap his arms around Midoriyaâs back. âTake this!â
Without knowing of Ojiroâs intentions, Midoriya felt something soft and fluffy going up inside his hoodie and brushed all around his sides and belly.
âAaaahahahahahahahaha Ojirohohohoho! Thahahahat tihihihickles!â Midoriya wiggled around on Ojiroâs lap as he buries his face on his shoulder to suppress his giggles.
âOh really? I donât think it tickles. You mean this?â Ojiro teased like Midoriya as his tail kept sweeping on his soft skin. âEeehehehehehehe yehehehehes!â
Okay so, um, I hope you donât mind me requesting something! ^.^ đ You always support me and I wanna support you too!
So, Uraraka and Ojiro. Fluff & Tickles. The idea is that Uraraka is stressed out and one way she copes is by coloring, and Bakugou or whoever sees her and teases her, then Ojiro defends her and says like, itâs fine to be a kid sometimes, bc theyâve grown up pretty fast. And so like, the next day they go to a park and swing, he gets her ice cream, then they go back to the dorm and color while watching cartoons, and then a tickle scene happens on the cartoon, and then it leads to him tickling her and hugs and cuddles and friendship. Aaaaa đ
To Be a Kid Again (BNHA)
Ojiro wants to show Uraraka that itâs okay to be a kid again sometimes.
Pairings: Platonic Uraraka and Ojiro
Warnings: Bakugou being a jerk, some light angst
Word count: 1.9k
A/N:Â Omg this is such a cute pairing!! I've never even considered them together, either as friends or as partners. What would their ship name be? Ojiraka? Also, I've never written for either of them, so I hope this is okay!
Uraraka was tired. It had been a long day at school, and despite the fact that it was only Wednesday, she was more than ready for the weekend.
After changing out of her uniform and grabbing a couple items from her room, Uraraka flopped down onto one of the couches of the commons with a heavy sigh. She really didnât have anything to do now that classes were over for the day. Sheâd already finished her homework and dinner wasnât for another or hour or so. Despite how exhausted she was, she had just enough energy left to do one of her favorite activities to pass the time: coloring.
She didnât know why exactly, but something about sitting down and letting herself get lost in the mindlessness of coloring had always been soothing to her. So there she was, sitting on the couch crisscross, using her knee as a table and getting to work. After a few minutes, the brain fog that had been plaguing Uraraka the last couple of hours began to disappear, and her mind was back as ease.
That was, until Bakugou came into the room. Looking just as tired and grumpy as she felt, Bakugou was about to head up to his room when Uraraka accidentally caught his eye.
âWhat are you looking at, Round Face?â
She quickly looked back down at her lap in alarm. âN-Nothing. Sorry.â
Bakugou continued to glare her way when he noticed the book in her lap and the pile of markers next to her. He came a few feet closer, eyeing it suspiciously.
âTch. What are you, five years old?â
âWh⊠what do you mean?â
At this time, Ojiro had just entered the commons and was just about to step into the elevator when the other studentsâ conversation caught his attention.
âColoring books? Seriously? That shitâs for babies.â
Uraraka felt her cheeks start to burn.
âHey, hey!â Ojiro jogged over to see what the commotion was about. Bakugou tended to pick fights pretty easily. âWhatâs going on here?â
Bakugou just crossed his arms and scowled at him.
Ojiro looked down at Uraraka, whose ears and cheeks were painted red. He then noticed the art supplies surrounding her. âIs he giving you a hard time?â
Uraraka just looked back and forth between the two of them, not daring to say anything.
âI heard you say something was âfor babies,ââ Ojiro turned to Bakugou with a stern look on his face. âYou werenât talking about coloring, were you?â
Again, silence.
âItâs really not, you know. People draw and color all the time! Besides, even if it was, whatâs wrong with that? Everyone should be allowed to do things they enjoy, especially something as harmless as coloring. I donât see what the problem is.â
âThe problem is that weâre trying to be heroes!â Bakugou shot back. âHeroes shouldnât be doing childish shit like that! If you really wanted to be a hero youâd be out training!â
Ojiro sighed, a little exasperated. âOf course training is important. But rest is important too. Doing things you love is important. If you donât take the time to be a kid and let loose a little, youâre going to burn out. No pun intended, in your case, Bakugou.â Ojiro smiled, a little teasingly.
âUgh, whatever,â Bakugou relented and headed back towards the elevator. âWhatever itâll take for you to shut up and stop lecturing me.â
Uraraka and Ojiro both snickered at that, and in a few moments, it was just the two of them.
âSorry about that,â Ojiro said apologetically. âBakugou can be a real pain sometimes.â
âNo kidding,â she agreed. âUm⊠thanks. You really didnât have to do that. Iâm sure I wouldâve been okay on my own.â
âOf course you would have! But what are friends for?â Ojiro smiled brightly, holding out his hand. Uraraka smiled back and accepted the hand up. âYou hungry? I think itâs about time for dinner.â
~~~
The next day was just as hard, though Uraraka did feel a little better after a good nightâs sleep.
After dinner the previous night, Ojiro had asked if sheâd want to hang out the next day after classes, in attempt to keep tabs on her since her fight with Bakugou. She assured him she was fine, but he insisted that it was his treat, so she obliged.
âSo where are we going?â Uraraka asked walking next to Ojiro on the sidewalk.
âIâm taking you to one of my favorite places.â The two entered a chain link-fenced area.
ââŠa playground?â
âYep! This was one of my favorite places in the world as a kid, and it still is. Come on! Letâs swing!â
And before she could argue, Ojiro grabbed her hand and tugged her along towards the swing set. Thankfully there wasnât anyone else around, so they had the place to themselves.
âSo,â Uraraka started, swinging her legs a little. âWhy are we doing this exactly? I mean, donât get me wrong, I love hanging out! But where is this coming from?â
Ojiro laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, a little sheepish. âI was thinking, well⊠I wanted to show you thatâs itâs okay to be a kid. To let loose a little. You seemed like you needed it, especially after what happened yesterday.â
Urarakaâs heart warmed at that. She really couldnât ask for better classmates as friends.
Ojiroâs expression dropped to something a little more serious. âIâve realized that weâve all had to grow up so fast in these last few years. It makes me kind of sad.â
âWhy is that?â Uraraka questioned.
âDonât you miss this kind of stuff?â He gestured to the rest of the play set. âAs much as I hate it, I think you and I both know thereâs some truth to what Bakugou said yesterday. Heroes are supposed to be constantly training, constantly trying to grow and improve their skills. All thatâs great, but it leaves no room to be what we actually are⊠teens. Kids. Donât you ever feel like you grew up too fast?â
Uraraka couldnât help but think about her parents. How, as just a little girl, barely old enough to go to school, she committed to helping them make money in any way she could. All the experiences sheâd missed out on when she was younger due to her familyâs financial situation. âYeah⊠I guess I do.â
Ojiro offered a sympathetic smile. âThatâs why itâs times like these, in the little spare moments we have to ourselves, that we can take the time to indulge that inner child.â
Uraraka took a moment to digest his words. âI think I understand now.â Then, in a small, hopeful voice: âMaybe... a-after weâre done here, we could... um... get some ice cream?â
Ojiro grinned. âI thought youâd never ask.â He hopped off his swing. âRace ya!â
âHey, no fair!â Uraraka laughed and chased after him.
~~~
After getting their ice creamâstrawberry for Uraraka and vanilla for Ojiroâthe two friends happily walked back to the dorms together.
âBy the way,â Ojiro said, âI never got the chance to tell you, but I saw your coloring book, and well⊠it looks really good!â
âOh!â Uraraka looked down, a little embarrassed. âHah, thanksâŠâ
He could tell she did believe him. âIâm being serious! I think itâs really cool that youâre into that kind of stuff. Have you always liked coloring? You seem to be good at it.â
âYeah, but I really canât take much credit. I mean, itâs just filling in the shapes. Itâs not like I drew it,â she reasoned, licking her ice cream.
âHey, I can hardly stay in the lines, so itâs impressive to me.â
Uraraka laughed, knowing he was probably just saying that to make her feel good, but she appreciated it nonetheless.
âThank you,â she said, speaking as sincere as possible. They had made it back to the common area of the dorms where they stood, waiting to depart to their own rooms. âFor everything.â
Ojiro realized she thought he had brought her back here to say goodbye. âHey, if you want, you can hang in my room.â
âReally?â
âYeah! We could watch TV, or if you have homework to work on, I wonât bother you.â
She smiled. âIâd love that. Thanks again, Ojiro, youâre the best.â She threw her arms around him in a tight hug. Ojiro was a little taken aback, but quickly returned the gesture.
The two friends sat comfortably on his bed with their backs against the wall. The TV droned on in the background, mostly forgotten, as they chatted about school and their weekend plans.
Once the conversation died out, they settled down to watch what was playing on the screen, falling into comfortable silence. One of the characters poked the other, making them jump back and laugh. Ojiro smiled at the scene and stole a quick glance at Uraraka to see how she was doing, just in time to see her blush a little at the sight. It was so brief, if he hadnât looked at just the right moment he wouldâve missed it.
Suddenly feeling mischievous, Ojiro darted his hands to Urarakaâs sides and began squeezing, making her squeal and fall back on the bed in a fit of happy giggles.
âOhohjiroho! Eeeep! WhahaâWhy? Hahaha!â
âBecause! I wanna hear you laugh! Didnât I tell you to start letting loose?â
Uraraka was too weak and giddy to respond or do much more than weakly bat his hands in a half-hearted attempt.
Ojiro made the mistake of coming closer to get better purchase on her ribs, and Uraraka pushed through the tickly feeling just enough to be able to reach a hand up and scratch at the base of his spine, making him yelp and jerk away. This gave Uraraka just enough time to gain the upper hand by pushing him down and straddling his waist with her knees.
âUraraka, wa-HAHAHAIT!â he burst into loud belly laughter as she began kneading up and down his torso the same way he had done to her.
âMaybe you should start taking your own advice, Ojiro!â she laughed with him. âCome on, you shouldnât be afraid of being a kid again, right? Tickle tickle!â
This made his cheeks turn bright red and his laugh go a few pitches higher.
Uraraka was feeling all-powerful with Ojiro now at her mercy. That was, until she felt a soft, feathery feeling against her neck and under her chin, making her flinch and snort.
âOhohoh my gohohosh, you snohorted!â Ojrio teased through his own laughter.
âN-no fahahair!â Uraraka stammered out as best she could. âYou shohouldnât be allowed t-to use your tahahail!â
âWehehell too bahad! Iâm using it!â
The two stayed like that, trying to out-tickle each otherâUraraka going at his ribs and belly, and Ojiro trying his best to throw her off using his tail to brush all over her neck and sides, both laughing hysterically. Eventually Uraraka was weakened just enough for Ojiro to get her back one last time before they both collapsed in exhaustion.
âJeez, you donât give up easy, do you?â Uraraka panted, a big smile still on her face.
âNo,â Ojiro agreed. âBut you held out pretty long too, Iâm impressed.â
After finally catching their breath, Uraraka opened her arms in offering. âCuddles?â
Ojiro couldnât have refused the offer if he tried. âHeh. Yeah, cuddles.â
He scooted closer and wrapped his arms around her torso, leaning his head into her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around him in return, resting her head atop his.
And there they stayed for the rest of the evening.
