9. Favorite foreign movie?Probably predictable coming from me, but Pan’s Labyrinth is too gorgeous to not pick for this. GDT delivering adult fairy tale darkness of my dreams. 

18. Favorite movie quote?

I HAVE SO MANY. I’m worried this will be my night now but let’s see what springs to mind in various tones.-Serious:  “But I tried, didn’t I? Goddammit. At least I did that.” - McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest-Comedy: “No Stairway? DENIED.” - Wayne in Wayne’s World-Serious from a comedy: “A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it...” to “Imagine what you’ll know tomorrow”  - speech from Agent K in Men In Black And a full speech I love--I’m not into any sports, but dammit if James Earl Jones doesn’t bring actual magic to his “People will come, Ray” speech from Field of Dreams. That voice plus the absolute nailing of how people can experience nostalgia--here for baseball, but really could be anything-- and also throwing in the idea of ANY constant in the mess of America. Always gets me. 

1. Have you ever been so drunk or stoned a movie became amazing?

I have never been stoned in my life ever, so that’s out. As for drunnnnk…hmm. I’m not a big drink-til-drunk person BUT, in 2012 I had a party at my house when Avengers came to Blu Ray and played by my own Avengers drinking game rules and we all had a blast. So it was already amazing and was even more fun that way. Particularly the teamwork rule.

 11. In your opinion, the most underutilized and under-appreciated actor

1. Ultimate OTP:  Thor/Loki, they’re a mess but in the MCU have as much drama and chemistry as any canon pair and they really can’t function without the other. 

2. A ship you’ll always love: Will Turner/Elizabeth Swann - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Fifth One that I don’t remember very well BUT IT DID THIS ONE THING WHEREBY IT FREED WILL OF HIS TRAPPED-AT-SEA-CURSE AND OMG MY 16 YEAR OLD SELF WAS *ALIVE* AND THESE KIDS WERE REUNITED. FINALLY.  I have no idea what the “Davy Jones” twist/dream thing was getting at and I doubt Disney will make it, so I disregard it

3. Your current obsession: Loki/Grandmaster is the obvious one. <--Yuppppp. I find this one WILD because Ragnarok/Goldblum himself lean so hard into it. Unexpected and wonderful and trashy as hellllllllll.

4. A ship you never thought you’d like: Reylo! I was icked out by them during The Force Awakens** (**But I don’t think I talked about this because it’s not my main fandom and I’m not fucking RUDE) and like post-TLJ? You know what? I kinda dig it. I haven’t delved any into fic or anything for this but like when it crosses my dash, I’m cool with it. Congrats Reylo people, those actors gave you a LOT in that last movie.

5. A ship you liked but don’t anymore: I entered into reading Thor fanfic with a lot of Loki/Jane (Lokane) but I’ve kinda dropped off this one somewhat. Maybe lack of canon content to play with or entirely too many sides of Darcy who I filter out a lot.  Still, a couple of their long fics from circa 2011-2012 are amongst my faves.

6. A ship you think should be canon: Again, stepping out of my main fandoms here but YOU GUYS. I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway and those two new guys - Albus & Scorpius are a god damn romantic couple. The script supported this.  The staging supported this. It was insanity that they didn’t just go there. I felt like the audience I was in felt this as well. And yet AND YET on Broadway no less it still makes sure to do NO-HOMO gymnastics. Incredibly frustrating from an objective storytelling standpoint. Smh. 

7. A canon ship you hate: Oh man Bruce/Natasha was pretty cringe-inducing. Lightly helped by Ragnarok using it as a couple plotpoints but still...ehhhh. Hate’s a strong word.  Also Ginny & Harry Potter...but that’s 100% because movie!Ginny was awful. Really really awful. Also ALSO oh god remember those dark times when Buffy was with boring ass Reilly? Woof. 

8. A ship you’ve shipped for years: Spike/Buffy might be like one of my first “ships” so I guess that counts. Possibly Wolf/Virginia from the Tenth Kingdom WHICH NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW BUT ITS AMAZING is the first time I remember being way too invested in two characters finally getting together. Sif/Loki has stuck around again, despite them not giving us new canon fodder. 

9. A ship everyone loves but you don’t care about: Tony Stark with anyone who is not Pepper...probably because RDJ & Paltrow have such great chemistry that I’m like...Welp, that’s settled for me. 

10. Favorite rare-pair: I continue to yell that Thundershield (Steve/Thor) doesn’t get nearly enough love as it should for what those two have in common and how cute they both are.
