Collaborative Week
From Friday 'til Sunday, the following things happened in part of quite a collaborative week +.
Friday included a party at The Miller for Jake's birthday. Jake and I have been friends about 8 months now and while it's not always possible to make it to birthdays, I try to go when I can. We have similar taste in music, and like to have a laugh and a dance when out for the evening. I think I sensibly left early-ish. I had a mini panic during the evening, where I started to question if I was more of an introvert than an extravert, so I went for a walk and returned, feeling renewed, restrengthened and ready to go.
Saturday began with a video shoot at Bing's for Tim H's new sketch, which features a lot of pals like Dodie, Conor, Lucy, Sammy, Hazel and more. The shoot was set from 10-10, and some stayed later to have a few drinks and pizza. This was a great way to close it because some of the people there like Sammy and Hazel hadn't really spent all that much time around me, so we just had a natter and a laugh about all and nothing.
Sunday was #SundayRules. I tend to watch football games (like Arsenal, City, whoever), a few films and eat good food. We got some ice cream in, a whole bunch of friends and watched a terrible movie that made us strive to never work on a movie like that.
Monday I joined Tomska on the set of his new video. DannyKaboom and I danced about in part of it akin to Good Morning Sunshine, I went for a long walk with Jenny Maycroft and talked life and shop in the sunshine. It was a really nice day. In the evening, I went to catch up with Jamie/RageNineteen and check out a new place in his area. The bar had a really good appeal to it that made me want to do a launch party in that vicinity.
Tuesday I stayed in all day setting up technology in my parent's office, to avoid the tube stations that were being problematic due to a tube strike. I had two meetings that rolled over, which weren't so bad to reschedule, and continued onwards.
Wednesday began with me heading to London to see Ray Roberts & Joel and discuss a future achievement, meeting Heloise, seeing some new cameras and then heading to a party at Google HQ for the new RED camera. I got to meet Blizzard from Don't Flop, drank a bunch, beat-boxed and went to G A Y with some friends to dance for hours on end. It was a hot day, so I went home in a t-shirt, but that's probably why I started feeling ill now.
Thursday I woke up a little hungover still, but managed to get to Becky CJ's to shoot two videos, and had enough time to brave the rain and have a meeting with Leddra about future music videos that I was planning to go to. We've decided on three or so which'll be worked on as part of her release strategy.
Friday I met up with Lily, we shot a bajillion gorgeous photos for llymlrs.com, then Ray & Mike came down and we had some drinks in the local area that were a bit terrible and decided to not do that again. We played a lot of '8 Things' by The RH Experience, as well as the 'compliment game' (you just compliment people, without ulterior motive).
Saturday I went to the Lincoln Gathering where I saw all these wonderful friends, and ended up dancing til 2.30am with the likes of Jenny, Bing, Mandy, Matt, Dean, Daniel + Daniel J Layton, and a billion others. It was just the best use of an evening.
Probably worth noting that around Thursday, I started to feel ill and by today (Monday) I have a streaming cold but my throat isn't as raw as it was earlier. I have a lot of planning to do. Lots. But travelling again and being busy was wonderful.
Just an update, y'know?
