Fishmonger
While I wasn't planning on drawing René, it kinda ended up looking like him. It's been difficult to come up with new types of faces. Especially improving the old fisherman to not look too cliché.
Anyway that's pretty much it for a short drawing

Les Mallory
Mother reveal (kinda). I already showed her back in 2022-2023, although she was mostly shown as a silhouette as she was only supposed to be a cameo in the backstory. She unfortunately suffered from multiple-sclerosis and died shortly after giving birth to René.
The father did change a bit between 2023 and 2024, but most of his harsh features were kept intact (he only became a full redhair to give that iconic black hair + redbeard to René)

finding older art in my backup drive and comparing the progression.
Although I liked his more cubism/vitrail look from 2023 to 2025, it takes less time to draw now. More emphasis on the dark comic style I used to do while keeping it interesting. I still need to improve on the shading and come back to his sickly tone (he was more greyish before)

A quick drawing of René while I rework his "curse". It is difficult to make his curse more about substance abuse and toxic family relationships while not putting all the blame on one individual in particular.

I messed up his nose as it needs to be bigger in the first image, but oh well.
