My mom is staying with me again this week while my stepdad is hospitalized for his cancer surgery ๐. I'm having an easy day because I've been working beyond my target the past few days. And she's in the kitchen rn, I can hear her cleaning the stove and humming. It's so pleasant, the window is open and crisp autumn air is coming in, birds chirping, sunlight. I really like having my mom here. I felt bad for not being able to take the week off again, so I could go out with her. But I work from home and she knows the way to the hospital already. I might take some time off this Thursday, to visit my dad. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.
Last night I overheard... can you even say "overheard" if you were right there? A conversation between my mom and my grandma on speakerphone. Maybe she didn't know she was on speaker but anyway. I heard them talking about me while I was right there. My mom might as well have looked me in the eyes while talking about me in 3rd person lol. My grandma mentioned that someone from church asked her about me, and whether or not I "still go to church". My grandma was honest and replied "No", but that's where her honesty ended, because she justified it with "because she's a stranger there, doesn't know anybody in that big church". That is so cap, junior. FAKE AF! I haven't even set foot in a church in this city with Christian intentions. It's not that I'm intimidated by new people, or by the size of a church. It's that I'm not interested at all! At least this discussion wasn't turned into a big thing, but it bothers me that her answer makes me seem like a weak bitch ๐ซ I even had a dream with a big church because of this presumably.
