How often as a leader do you consider what specific information, tools, data your team needs. I found myself yesterday in a place where I didn’t have what I needed, I began to question how frequently do I unintentionally NOT share information because I assume it’s not relevant. Check in with your team, show them some of the things you have access to. Sometimes you really don’t know what you don’t know. A culture where sharing information without worrying about credit or self is a culture that will thrive! In my experience I have found this is very applicable at home as well. I had an alarm clock much like this one for a few years. It was a terrible way to wake up. However it was extremely effective. Yesterday I was reminded of just how important time is. I began to just observe how I use my time throughout the day. My time is valuable, it is important to me. How I manage it impacts my ability to learn, grow, influence, or be present. My time is something I manage.... if I am overwhelmed or stressed based on time constraints it’s a decision I have made. Make different decisions......... I’ll have you consider your time is the same. It is important, it is meaningful. Do you manage it or does it manage you? That alarm clock was effective, are you effective? First ever Triathlon today. Amazing experience. Can’t wait to do another. So many lessons. My biggest take aways 1: There are some things money can not buy. I am grateful for this experience. 2: I have a lot more control over my mind than I thought. 3: There is power and transformation in suffering 4: A commitment is binary, once made the options are no longer a possibility 5: My Level of preparation for the commitment is a mirror of my level of regard for the commitment. 6. I am obsessed with watching people. I love seeing how different world views and unspoken expectations collide and resolve usually by one side ignoring the collision. I watched this morning a server in a business collide with a customer over expectations.... lack of clarity, neither party willing to ask the right questions to get to a resolution.
