We are delighted to announce the launch of our Masjid -e- Mohamadi Expansion Fundraiser, an endeavor that aims to strengthen our community and provide a more inclusive and comfortable space for all of our members. As our community grows, it is crucial to ensure that our beloved masjid can accommodate the increasing needs and serve as a center for spiritual growth and community development.

To continue fulfilling its role effectively, we have identified the urgent need for expansion. This project will allow us to address the challenges we currently face, such as overcrowding during prayer times, insufficient space for Islamic education programs, and limited facilities for community gatherings and Islamic events of this precious sanctuary.

Demographically Meenambakkam ideally neighbors (7km/ 5miles) Chennai, Nangallanur, Alandur and many cities in its vicinity very conveniently. It’s also home to the international airport in the state of Tamil Nadu. It’s an ideal location for Muslims to situate a Masjid. Plans are to expand the ground floor and the floor above it to accommodate 200 Muslims on each level.

‘Umar bin Khattab (رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ) said:

“I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ‘Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah Almighty, like a sparrow’s nest or maybe smaller, Allah Almighty will construct for him a residence in Paradise’ ~ Sunan Ibn Majah 735

Respected sisters and brothers don’t shortchange yourselves; lend unto Allah a goodly loan ~ Qur’aan; 64:17.

With regard to the phrase “imitation of the disbelievers”, that does not mean that we should not use anything that they have manufactured. No one says such a thing. At the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) and afterwards the people used to wear clothes made by the disbelievers and use vessels made by them.

Dear friends and community; our tragedy and circumstances, Imagine losing both the father and mother of your household within a year. This is the heartbreaking reality that our family is facing. I'm Noor ul ain (the sister of mother), and I'm reaching out during an unimaginably difficult time for my family. On December 19th, 2020, while I was away for some meeting in Islamabad-Pakistan , I received the devastating news of my brother in law's passing. Now, just 4 years later, we've suffered another profound loss. My sister , Sana Shaikh , passed away in a road accident on November 12th, 2024. This unexpected tragedy has left my siblings family and me at a loss for words.

 A tribute to my sister; she was more than just a caretaker; she was the heart and soul of the Shaikh's family. She had a magic touch, turning simple moments into cherished memories and ordinary meals into feasts filled with laughter and warmth. When times were tough, she stretched every rupee, ensuring her children never felt the weight of struggle. Through her actions, she taught all of us the value of hard work, resilience, and the profound power of unconditional love. Every sacrifice she made was a testament to her fierce dedication. She inspired us to dream big, making the impossible seem possible.

With the passing of both of the parents, my older niece Ahad and I have become responsible for our two younger siblings: Hamza and Anas. The weight of this responsibility, coupled with our grief, is immense. Why We Need Your Help We've created this GoFundMe campaign to seek support as we navigate this challenging transition. Despised in the Qur’aan;

Al-Hujurat:{49} verse 12, An-Nur: {24} verse 12-15, Al-Isra: {17} verse 36, Al-Hamzah/Humazah: {104} verse 1.

Forbidden in Hadith;

Al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ 7693, Musnad Aḥmad 17998, Shu’ab al-Imān 6353, Sunan Abi Dawud 4880.

There is a great deal of evidence to show that these actions are haram, yes it’s impermissible. We’ve mentioned just a few of them to demonstrate with clear evidences from both Qur’aan and Hadith that they are haram. It’s an EPIDEMIC in today’s world of webcast, podcast, vodcast, mobcas, streaming, cable, relay, televise OF TALK (about people), GOSSIP, CHAT, CELEBRITY UPDATE shows. It’s a multimillion dollar industry despite BACKBITING, SLANDER, GOSSIP (about others) AND SUSPICION ARE ONE OF THE 7 MAJOR AL-KABAIR ) SINS and it’s HARAM. Shaitan has deluded so many, nauzubillah 🕋
