F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel only sold 20,000 copies in its first year of release. Twenty years (and the author’s death) would pass before it was introduced to the U.S. school curriculum and its candidature for the “Great American Novel” accepted. Since then, it has been adapted for the big screen a number of times, most recently by Baz Luhrmann (@bazluhrmann) in 2013’s "The Great Gatsby", starring Leonardo DiCaprio (@leonardodicaprio) as the mysterious Jay Gatsby. Joining the fantastic DiCaprio is a superb supporting cast of Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke. The movie is faithful to the book and really evokes Long Island in the roaring twenties. Winner of two Academy Awards ("Best Production Design" and "Best Costume Design"), the film also took over $350M at the box office. Pictured is an original ‘advance’ one sheet movie poster.
