"All these confessions about people joining in the League RP community and finding the experience wonderful conflict me. While I'm happy that the RP community is being awesome but at the same time, I'm saddened because I have yet to experience anything like that at all. I'm still holding on to a sliver of hope after a year. Someone already told me that maybe League RP is just not for me. And I suppose they are right. Maybe it is time for me to stop waiting and go look someplace else to belong."

"I used to be really nervous about talking to new people in the community. Which was silly because everyone was new to me, so I just didn't talk and just went and drew silly things. I don't know when this changed, because now I have no problem with tracking down people I want to talk to and shoot them a message and ask for their skype. I think with this kind of openness comes happiness, and I wish everyone who holds back would learn not to and embrace the nice feelings that follow."

"I feel like when I write starters, nobody seems to be interested. I try to keep them interesting, a bit lengthy but I barely get a few replies. I can understand that ‘hey, I don’t always reply because I have multiple blogs’ or life gets in the way (I.E. for me, work). I hate reblogging them for attention, too. But it makes me really wonder: Am I portraying my character properly? Are they too out-of-character? Or simply too dark? Do other RPers not like it? I wouldn’t know, but it’s discouraging at times. Guess reblogging prompts will have to do best. Even then, I barely get a peep from others."

"Being new to the scene looks a lot like job hunting. You send countless asks and starters, sometimes getting to write a paragraph or two, and then nothing. Finding that one thread that just keeps going or a partner who's actually interested, those are tough cookies to eat."

"Some people are so aggressive about some ships. It makes me feel bad for shipping the mainstream ships whenever I see hate posts about Trynd/Ashe or Garen/Kat... I'm afraid to want to ship with a Garen because of it."

"I’ve noticed some people role-play certain Champions as a joke just because of how the character is seen as in-game. These Champions are completely different from how these people portray them; Singed is not some troll, Teemo is not some evil hell-spawn, and so on. It pains me to see people role-play these Champions as a joke."
